Black Edition in Europe only for PS2

Postby Bojan » 12 Nov 2005, 09:24

They guys over from NFS-Planet.de got word from EA Germany that Need for Speed Most Wanted Black Edition will only be avilable for Playstation 2 in Europe. All other platforms will only get the regular edition. The Black Edition for PC and Xbox could not be localized because of limited resources of the studio.

erm..whats the point in doing that? Your gonna spend two times the amount of money to get just a few more extras? Just get the Black Edition straightway if you want it

I'm confused. Every site makes different claims from EA. Which one should I stick on? :?

*long groan* Oh, not again, I've heard those words a few times too often this year. :x
Just as I was feeling all warm and fuzzy after playing the MW demo and finding out it's rocking quite hard, then something like this reminds me again that this is Electronic 'Cancel Everything' Arts we're talking about.
"we couldn't get it done in time so we decided to drop it alltogether - no hard feelings, right? "
GAWD.

Yeah it's like if you tell your teacher:
Hey I can't pass the exam because of limited resources of my brain. But you gotta gimme an A+
Or to your boss:
Hey I can't do this task faster because of limited resources of my arms. But I will obviously be paid 15$ per hour

If you buy it from another country you might have something the domestic versions don't. My Dredd vs Death PC game has a PS2 like case because I ordered it from Leeds UK. It didn't cost a whole lot though.

I asked them about weather or not they will get the Black Edition and they Told me thats what I had pre-ordered..
I guess NZ Is Classified as Europe 0_o?
Or will I only get the normal version?...

The Camaro & the M3 GTR you saw won't be in the normal version of the game. What the normal version has, the Black Edition has.

Would Australia/New Zealand be classified as Europe or US? Even though it is coming out around the 25th (around Europe's date?), I'm not really sure.

Great move EA! Now I'm sure nobody in Europe will download the game just because they want the BE!

Is it so hard to let the machine run a few hours extra?
