Australian NFSU website online

Post by Bojan »

As always, the Australian Need for Speed Underground website is different than the international one. They posted 4 wallpapers and info about online racing.

Server Details

* The Network topology is client / server. In a 4 player game, one of the players (and his PS2) is the Host or Server, and all others are Clients.
* EA is providing a match making service to all clients in order to find hosts. Hosts will register themselves with the match maker.

Game Types

* Drift Race
* Drag Race
* Circuit Race
* Sprint Race

Stats Tracking

* Tracking in game stats
* Top 100 Rankings board per game mode, circuit sprint, drag, drift and overall
* Top 5 lap times per track, forwards and reversed

Tracks

* All maps in Single Player are implemented in Online Mode

Cars

* Ability to Customize cars in Online Mode
* All cars appear to other players as they were customized
* High-Performance Sponsor Cars provided for new players in non-ranked games

Visit the official website here.
You can get the wallpapers on the australian website or here

thats great info bobyx......this just makes me want the game more :)

although i wonder how the stat tracking will work with regards to 3rd party tuning? will people be able to edit the speed of the cars like other nfs's, knowing how some people tend over tune them unrealisticly.

They don't actually mean 3rd party tuning...
You'll probably have a set of parts from different brands available for any car and you'll be able to use different parts.
And they'll probably try to lock all other tuning as much as possible as they don't want the PC users to have an advantage like that :)
