There are graphics settings for consoles, but those are for changing screen settings (e.g. from TV to monitor) and other related things. It's not as customizable as the PC, there aren't many options.

that video gave us a good look at the scenery and the world. i see that it mainly consists of highways, which makes sense because all you drive are super cars. I was just hoping for some more smaller streets like in burnout, but it looks like htere are "sections" which break off from the highway roads, for ex. the airfield with the clip of the corvette

B. if you reach a certain bounty you unlock cars because this is the same people who made burnout so this game is going to be somewhat similar to it and I'm 99% sure I'm right I did some research on the game when I first heard of the game.

And there are some more cars at the official web site
The Alfa Romeo 8C Spider

http://hotpursuit.needforspeed.com/game ... -8c-spider

Then there are three Aston martins
The Aston Martin DBS, DBS Volante, and the V12 Vantage.

Didn't think so ;)
She's got loads of ideas why the community should help her but that is kinda the reverse situation!

So? I'm sick of people just being content with what is doled out to them as entertainment, but I'm not going on about that. As Dr.Houbenheimer said I was stating my opinion and qualifying it with an example, even if it was slightly aggressive there was no direction at you. However the difference between MW's Speedbreaker which you could ignore is that in Hot Pursuit use of the power ups is almost mandatory if you want to be competitive. That ends up as a power up fest where in most scenarios the Racer player is going to suffer compared to the Cop player.

Also design decisions like these are why I mod games. To correct the mistakes of the dev's...

Whether you agree with me or not is neither here nor there
KammyworldRacerGT4 wrote:LITE992 and Zotic+ are the only ones using common sense on the topic of powerups. Don't like them? Fine, but don't complain about it.
If we don't complain then how will the dev's know that it was a mistake? Also the other thing you'll notice is that it's the under 16's who mainly like power ups, those who are over 16 are usually not so interested in them. Try telling the GRID community that their next game will feature power ups and watch the fall out...

GRID (from what I can tell) is a simulation racer, whereas NFS (mostly) is an arcade game.
Apples and oranges, my friend. Apples and oranges.
Once again, if you don't like them, that's fine, but complaining is futile because most others (over 16 as well) use them.

As I said before it's not futile. Also if you look back through the NFS range there have been many attempts at simulation, not to mention SHIFT. So not quite as apple and orange as you are implying.

Saying that it's fine because most use them is also rather pointless. Most people drink alcohol and wilfully poison themselves with cigarettes but does that make it fine? No it's just socially accepted (even forced in some heavy peer group situations) and those who question are often regarded as outsiders. So thanks for explaining your stance...

actually it is most need for speed games are arcade style so that makes it an arcade game and just to prove my point I'll use Final fantasy as an example Final fantasy is an RPG right but there are some Final Fantasy games that aren't RPG like Dirge of Cerberus but you still count Final Fantasy as an RPG game right so that means since most Need for Speed games are arcade that means Need for Speed is an arcade game.

The first NFS, NFS2, NFS4, NFS5, NFS11 and NFS 13 are all attempts at simulations dependant on the tech at the time. A quick percentage check leaves that at just under 50%...

Hell Hot Pursuit 1 and 2 (NFS3 and 6) were arcade, but they were still far more realistic than the other arcade racers of the time. NFS 4 was even an attempt to make the original Hot Pursuit have damage and more realistic physics...

Just cos Criterion make the Burnout series (pure arcade shiznit) doesn't mean they have to bring it over to the NFS series. The only other NFS game to have power up is NFS World. We all know that's great fun right? Gotta love all those Traffic Magnets....

I'm not 100% satisfied with World at the moment, but it sounds to me like you got shelled with Traffic Magnets and couldn't dodge them well enough.
