Help pc shift keeps crashes
Help wanted.
No matter what I put the graphics settings on max out or low, it keeps crashing on my pc. I have bfg nvidia geforce 9600 gt oc 512mb, 4gb ram, intel core 2 q8200 @ 2.33hz and Windows 7 Pro. Any ideas what settings I need to set the graphics too?
Thanks.
Paul.

Re: Help pc shift keeps crashes
Could be, download realtemp and try.
Clean out your case+all fans and set fan rpm higher.

Re: Help pc shift keeps crashes
For a 9600GT??? When I had it, my max temp was around 67~75C full when gaming, not beyond that, even with the card a little bit overclocked. I had the MSI 9600GT OC version and it never gave me problems or crashes.honke wrote:no max 105 C

In my opinion it could be your OS. Did you have any crash or problem with other games?

Re: Help pc shift keeps crashes
Nothing works. So going to get a friend to re-seat the graphics card and see if that helps. I did have this with shift only when drfting. I found that I'm getting this Display Driver Nvidia Windows Kernel Mode Driver stopped responding and has successfully recovered, any ideas why?

Re: Help pc shift keeps crashes
Here the update my graphic card is factory overclock, so when I set it to the origanal clock the game played ok until it locked up and the screen went funny colours. So could having a overclock card be the problem?
Re: Help pc shift keeps crashes

Re: Help pc shift keeps crashes
9600GT and this game = PAIN to the eyes.
Hell I would run it on my 4890 (or my incoming 6990) but my PSU just crapped itself so waiting for it's replacement at the moment
I've got a 9600GT in at the moment as it doesn't draw as much power as the 4890 which results in no crashes due to power req's. Just gotta live with it for a week...

Re: Help pc shift keeps crashes
Solved it. Turned the shader clock down from 1700mhz to 1625mhz, runs perfect now.
