For anyone having trouble uploading signature images or getting them to work in the forum, here's a quick n' dirty guide that should answer all your questions..

First, make sure your signature image fits the limits:
  • 1. The file must be a JPG, GIF or PNG format image.
    2. The image width must be no larger than 550 pixels.
    3. The image height must be no more than 120 pxiels.
    4. The image file itself must be no more than 60 kilobytes in size.
If you try to upload an image that doesn't satisfy all of these rules, you will get an error page and the file will not be uploaded. At the top of this page, you will see the reason why the upload failed.

If you're happy that the image satisfies all the rules go to http://www.nfsunlimited.net/sigpic , click the Browse button and locate the image file on your computer, then click OK to begin the upload. After the file is uploaded, it is checked to ensure it fits the rules and if it passes, the upload will succeed and you will see a page like this:

At this point. you need to copy all of the text inside the 'Use this code in the forum:' box.

Next, open your forum profile page at http://forum.nfsunlimited.net/profile.p ... ditprofile

Now you need to paste the sigpic code you copied before into the 'Signature:' box. Finally, click the Submit button at the bottom of the page and you're done.

One final note: The maximum length for signature text is set to 90 characters, which is exactly the length of these image links. This means that if you have a sigpic in your signature, you won't be able to add any extra text apart from the image link itself. This also means you won't be able to make your sigpic a clickable link.
