Well the game director K.Yamauchi stated in an E3 interview that they can release it now but they want it to be in the best possible shape, so a holiday release seems plausible...at least to me.

I hope they have a better replay system for the real GT5. It's terrible when I want to see one section of my reply and I can't rewind/ff/pause/slomo/etc. It should be like in GRID.

It's just a demo... I'm sure they'll add those features.

Be The Stig !!
Top Gear Test Track – the track featured each week on the show, where host Jeremy Clarkson and the Top Gear team test the latest cars – will be replicated in Gran Turismo 5 (GT5) on PS3. For the first time in a racing game, players will be able to burn rubber and experience every white knuckle, hairpin turn on the Top Gear Test Track for themselves.

I am excited about this though. It will be fun trying to beat Stig's lap times. But I don't see how racing on the track is going to work because the track intersects... And in the latest trailer, there were a couple LMP1 cars racing on the track. The Audi sounded spot-on by the way... All the engine sound effects sounded pretty damn good in that trailer.

It's been P1 cars in GT for awhile now. It's just a matter if they will be racing on track with GT cars. It's obvious the C6R and maybe the Aston martin GT1 car will be in the game. Just makes sence to make a series out of them since theres Nascar, INDY, WRC. Why not LMS

i wonder how lms wiill work with all four classes, probably like grid, but i wonder if the number of cars in the game wiill be equivalent number of cars like real lms races instead of grid having like four in each class.

No what i meant is; it's more likely coming out this year and not 2010.

According to GT Planet... it seems that the much anticipated GT5 will be released in December 09 - most probably it will be the 11th December.

It could be plausible, especially since no one noticed that this year NFS was moved to September while in previous years it was released in November. This would had had negative effects on the NFS sales since GT5 is much more anticipated. Hence they released it earlier. Ever wondered why?

I cannot wait for GT5, however I will still get shift.

So can't wait for this game now. Here's hoping that since they now have the Raging Bull they put in the maddest Bull of them all. The LP670-4 SuperVeloce.

Please tell me that crap is fake, because I really shouldn't pay $300 for a PS3 to play it, because I can almost guarantee, I'll probably be willing to. D=

1,000 vehicles
170 Premium new models (full interior modeling, the interior corresponds to vehicle damage)
830 kinds of standard model (some are from Gran Turismo 4 that have been carried over to GT5) [Read: Cars we have seen in GT4 before]
I wonder what this means.

Yeah the translations pretty crap. But from what I can make of it the "170 Premium new models" which would be the NASCAR and WRC models I would assume will have full damage including interior damage modelling, whereas the rest will just have exterior/mechanical damage. Or at least that's what IGN made of it anyway XD

The thing that I'm most looking forward to really is the YouTube replay upload, along with the Bugatti and Lamborghini licenses. For so long I've wanted to chuck up gameplay vids of Gran Turismo 5: Prologue, and now this announcement pretty much neuters the reason why I bought a capture card.

I'd probably wait till the official English version has been announced. There are some sites saying there is only 20 tracks, with 60 variations, whilst GTPlanet is saying 60 tracks confirmed, with 20 TBA. I'm quite worried about this.

Wait... OMG... Check out the damage!!! :D :D

http://www.gtplanet.net/new-gran-turism ... ge-images/

Edit: Not too bad. I wasn't one of those people who nagged about lack of damage in the GT series, because I believed to should be done properly or not done at all. The damage in the video easily isn't as good as the damage in GRID, but it’s just enough to keep me happy. They've done a sterling job, considering the amazing graphics GT5 already has. It'll certainly make rally events all the more interesting :P

I really do hope that the damage does affect the performance, or at least you can enable it, cause only visual is pretty useless.

But overall it looks very good.
