They at least attempted at it, but I see what you mean. And yes, I agree that R* has made some decent offline multiplayer games, but they aren't particularly new. Burnout Paradise's price is no problem at all, I feel I've gotten a great deal for $42 CAD (as opposed to typical $60 Xbox games) and the price is actually $29 CAD now, so there's nothing to complain about.

this is just a post to get attachments on here to copy and paste onto the criterion forums because you can't put attachments there. this is to prove a point also about these other islands and how they can just be plans when they are most obviously sitting there visibly seen in this footage from crash tv episode 2.
another island?
another island?
another island?
another island?
Attachments
another different island?
another different island?

Hate to start the argument again but the picture in "another different island?" isn't actually different....it's the same island.

the pictures i posted are from the new island. as you can see the other landmasses out in the distance are most definitely a part of another island

*read what i said* i remember seeing a big surf island in one of tthe older the games and i do not remember seeing a big surf island in paradise yet, so it is a logical guess

Ahahahaha you crack me up....

You DON'T know if it is the original Paradise City....and I don't care if you got the pictures from a video or whatever. Don't make assumptions you can't emphasise with ACTUAL evidence. And how am I supposed to "look carefully" when the pictures are only 550x380 px and don't have much background detail?

did you watch crash tv episode two? i really don't think you took any time to. really, is there any view of paradise city like that from the island? and besides, the first 2 pics are a view of the far east of the island, so that other landmass is not paradise, and the 3rd pic is a view of the far north of the island. its like your arguing that 2+2 is not 4.

Should I get this game from the PS Store and download it for 30 dollars? Is it worth the money if I loved Takedown and love freeroam? I saw a review that the demo sucks but the full game is awesome, and I agree that the demo sucked. Is the full game really better?

EDIT: and are the download packages/expansions free?

After you dl it, its already updated to the latest version (Burnout Bikes). And it really is good, if you love takedowns, then rejoice because thats what you have to do to get most of your cars. Just drive around, eventually you'll hear their engine, let them pass you, then give 'em a little shove into a nearby pole or wall....

Free roam is ok, the only major downfall is that if you screw up an event, you have to go allllllll the way back to try it again, there's no "trip skip" feature like in San An or whatever.

Agreed, the easiest way to do them I think is to find your way to the suspension bridge and just keep going off the superjumps there, you'll rack up tones of points while increasing your multiplier.

yeah, but you can't increase your multiplier because it says "repeated stunt" when doing the same thing over and over.

You can still compound each of the 3 jumps as seperate ones, though. And once you do that, drifting North around the bend and driving off the cliff will give u major multipliers, especially if you are able to land a barrel roll or flatspin. I actually managed to get both a barrel roll and a flatspin from the same jump off there.

WTF? All this time it was free and now Criterion (or EA) decided to be a jerk and make it paid for? What a d**k move.

Most likely EA is making it premium content.
