MotorStorm
I played this game at my mates house today on his ps3. I have to say, quite magnificent!. The graphics are absolutely wondeful. Yes, this was the first time I played on a ps3!

Re: MotorStorm
I have and have completed MotorStorm, the only trouble I have with it is that there's no split-screen multiplayer offline!^Speed 12^ wrote:I played this game at my mates house today on his ps3. It's published, Evolution Studios (WRC series) developed it. And it would be completely screwed on X360 because the PS3 has much more power, and if it WAS on 360, you would probably lose a lot of the good stuff that is on the game for, most likely, a great online experience. I would feel sorry for people that didn't have internet...

OFFTOPIC: BS. The PS3 and 360 are very hard to compare as they have a different architecture. They are designed differently and work differently.
Both have positives and negatives. Call it a draw. The PS3 has far more processing power (if properly used), but its GPU is somewhat outdated. The 360 has a modern up-to-date GPU, but falls a little behind on the CPU part.
With no doubt, the 360 has better games at the moment. Developers still have to get used to the PS3 as it's diffucult to use properly, so games are designed for the 360 and ported to the PS3 (which ends up looking worse).

And I heard that the Cell processor is a lot harder to program games for so it ends up being a whole lot more expensive to make games for, thats why (it's been rumored) a lot of the PS3 games were canceled and went to the X360
Not sure if it's true or not so don't kill me over it.

It's not the fact that the Cell processor is hard to program games for (although it is), it's just that the developers aren't used to something as powerful as the Cell. That's not saying PS3's processor is better, it's just a lot more powerful than others. Really, X360 and PS3 are pretty much equally advantaged at the moment, but the X360 is mainly better because of the better online service and greater amount and quality of games. Sony can turn it around though!S2000_Skyline12 wrote:And I heard that the Cell processor is a lot harder to program games for so it ends up being a whole lot more expensive to make games for, thats why (it's been rumored) a lot of the PS3 games were canceled and went to the X360

Huh.. You mean something like: ''omfg the ps3's power!!! i'm overwhelmed!!'' ? That doesn't make any sense.Koenigsegg_Rox wrote:It's not the fact that the Cell processor is hard to program games for (although it is), it's just that the developers aren't used to something as powerful as the Cell. The Cell is extremely capable if properly used, especially for physics. Now back on topic, MotorStorm if I remember correctly...

Yes that would be the topic. But first, a quick comment to end that convo: most developers aren't getting the best games from the PS3 because the power of the Cell is not what they're used to, and actually, I contradicted myself in the quote you posted. The Cell IS hard to program games for, because it's very complex.
Okay, back to MotorStorm, what time have you gotten on the Grizzly for the first little half-a-lap you do when you start? Mine's 1:11:68.

Rally Cars are crappy, they may be fast but they are very fragile and can't really handle well. Bikes are the best all around. Once they get going, Big Rigs are actually pretty fast, you just have to make sure you keep it at that. Buggies are alright, the bouncy suspension really helps over massive jumps. Racing Trucks are probably the worst vehicles in the game. Slow, don't handle well, but the suspension is near that of Buggies. Mudpluggers are pretty similar to Big Rigs, except they are smaller.
