Really Colin McRae was more famous for Codies' games rather than his rallying, so it's a bit more than just a name. I found this on N4G.com, too, so this goes to all the gamers too.

They probably won't change the name.. Everyone knows the name, even in the papers about his death you read 'McRae was also famous with rallygames which carried his name' etc.
Plus, Tony Hawk is retired too, but there are still coming skategames.

Nope, they took every single copy off the shelves so nobody will ever play it again unless you bought it when it was first released.
