If you heck Wikipedia for TDU2, then it says that it will be released in Q4 2010.
What more I've found out about this game:

Test Drive High Life is just the internal name for TDU2.
It will take place on a new island which is currently unknown.
It will feature dynamic weather effects, day and night cycles and vehicle damage.
It will feature new vehicles and race types.
Eden Games is the developer once again for TDU2.
It will be for the PS3, X360 and PC.

If you go to the website here you can see in the 3 pictures that are currently there in the game, that one of them features the Gumpert Apollo, a car that is as yet, not present in any racing video game.

Thanks! Actually speaking, I wasn't very sure as to whether it was in a racing game or not.

No, that is nothing like Dubai, I know because you can say I live in the state that is neighbouring Dubai. I used to live in Dubai before but moved to Sharjah and Dubai looks nothing like that.

Actually, Dubai on its own would be pretty small to include in a game.
If possible, all of the UAE should be included in the game. That would be really cool.

Yeah, I do know about the Ferrari theme park that is being built in Abu Dhabi. Thing is, if Dubai and Abu Dhabi were made in any game, I don't think that there would be much of a gap between the two cities because in reality, it takes around 1.5-2 hours to get to Abu Dhabi from Dubai. All that driving through the desert wouldn't keep the player's attention for long.

well in that case i could see how the producers would make the drive shorter and more of a scenic desert route

According to Wikipedia, the total area of Dubai is 4114 square km. The total area of 67,340 square km. Compare this with the total area of Oahu, which is 1545.4 square km. the reason for Abu Dhabi being that big is because apart from the main island, it is also made up of several smaller islands. The total area of Abu Dhabi and Dubai combined is 71,454 square km. The combined area of Abu Dhabi and Dubai is roughly 46 times bigger than the area of Oahu.

Now the total area of the map in FUEL was around 14,400 square km, 5 times smaller than Abu Dhabi + Dubai so you get a real idea of the scale when comparing them. Another thing is that I have included the total area of Dubai as 4114 square km, the area of the metro is 1287.4 square km.

on another site i saw them mention Club Racing is returning too and Clubs will get one exclusive car. however weird that would sound, i seriously hope they wont release the game in buggy state, and we wont have to resort to weird methods to do something like we had to acquire the "Ace" rank.

Well then that would definitely be a plus point for TDU2 if something similar was present in the final product.

Dammit that would mean I have to get an shiznit. Not gonna happen so no Forza 3 for me. Interested by TDU 2 but only if they fix the god awful physics of the original. To say not even close doesn't quite cover it...

and car sounds...after the patch that added Skyline and some audi, i couldnt even hear that Skyline or any other car but every other sound was OK. so either max volume and get ear raped by every other sound just to be able to hear your own engine...or just drive a engine-less car.

very nice, we got damage weather ccycle, offroad and all that good stuff. I think i heard in the interview there will be more detailed customization also. My only hopes for the game right now are for the graphics to be smoothed out(look a little rough but will oviously getr fixed) to be able to change the rims cuz some of the rims on the cars suck(Ford GT in the trailer, i ont realy favor those rims) and to have a Toyota Supra TT
