Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune & Initial D Arcade Stage

Post by RedCarDriver »

Okay, so I'm not entirely sure that they qualify to be in this forum, since they are both cabinet-style arcade games.

Does anyone around here play either Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune or Initial D Arcade Stage? I play WMMT3DX on a semi-regular basis (read: once every month, more or less - whenever I get a chance).

I have two cars:
  • Skyline GT-R (BNCR33), Active Red, 800HP/DG
  • Chaser (JZX100), Super White, 500HP/B
(DG is the lowest handling category, while B is the middle handling category)

Never really liked Wangan Midnight, but I play Intial D down at the arcade every now and then.
And I always pick the MR2 for some reason

I wish the shop would find an F-Zero AX machine from somewhere . . .

Do you have a card (for either WMMT or Initial D)? WMMT is much more fun with a card - it gets boring fast if you keep starting over every time you play >_>

Nah don't have any cards, too expensive. I already waste enough money down at the arcade, and I only go on Tuesdays because it's half price.

WMMT cards are only another US$0.75 where I play, which is how much I pay for every game anyway. It really does make the game much more enjoyable, too - you can't really progress without one.

Initial D cards ARE really expensive, though - it's US$5 for one card! (As opposed to the WMMT cards, which are printed on cardstock, the Initial D cards are actually printed on plastic.) That's part of the reason I don't really ever play Initial D.
