Command & Conquer 4
Command & Conquer 4
If people haven't noticed, rumors have been floating around that C&C4 is in the works.
First of all, we have the EA survey that indicates: "epic conclusion to real-time strategy series will feature role-playing-style character classes, MMORPG-like persistent progression, co-op campaign, and all-new story with "grittier" cinematics"
Source: http://www.gamespot.com/news/6212411.html
And secondly, this tweet: "EA Los Angeles Announces Development of Command & Conquer 4"
Source: http://www.joystiq.com/2009/07/08/ea-ac ... conquer-4/
The link in the picture leads to the EA Press Site Homepage but there doesn't seem to be any sign of C&C4 on it:

Gamespot has a C&C4 page up but it doesn't reveal anything new:

...except the "Command & Conquer Franchise Retrospective" video is pretty interesting.
Just a note that the latest C&C newsletter is out today with some interesting news:
A COMMAND & CONQUER MEGA-BOMB DROPS EARLY JULY
It was on August 31, 1995 when the Command & Conquer franchise was introduced to the world with Tiberian Dawn and propelled the real-time-strategy genre in to the hearts of each and every one of YOU. Now, Command & Conquer fans, after 14 years, and 18 games across the Red Alert, Generals, and Tiberian universe, someone very near and dear to the heart of the C&C franchise will soon have a message for you, to be communicated world-wide in "early July". Interesting quote from the Gamespot article: "the game will have no digital rights management software" BUT "since C&C4 requires players to be online all the time in order to prevent cheating, we'll be shipping without any form of DRM"

Re: Command & Conquer 4
hey it says it's the "epic conclusion" does this mean that it'll be the last game in the series?

Yup. basically since the first C&C, Earth was on it's last legs and this will be the final game where Tiberium renders all of earth uninhabital. But i guess that dosen't stop some biosuit techonology to preseve human life and continue the story line.Dr Houbenheimer wrote:hey it says it's the "epic conclusion" does this mean that it'll be the last game in the series?

Re: Command & Conquer 4
What about that FPS set in C&C called Tiberium? Is that set before or after the events of C&C 4?

C&C4 Requires 24/7 Internet Connection which sort of seems like DRM...in a little way.

the last gameplay footage was uploaded 5 months ago and the same footage was first released a year ago. Right before they canned the game.

Re: Command & Conquer 4
I don't know if anyone cares about C&C any more, but March 16th is the worldwide release date for Command & Conquer Tiberian Twilight.
