GTA: Vice...to get or not to get? (the everlasting Q)

Hey everyone!

I'm thiking about getting VC on PC but the thing is, my comp is a little lower than requirements:
AMD Athlon 700mhz
512mb Ram
64mb DDR SiS Xabre 400

Win XP

I know the min. requirements is like 800mhz processor so would mine do?
I can run GTA 3 normally, about 15fps on 800x600 and about 4 notches of view distance. Is there hope?

Wice City runs little smoother in old macines than GTA3, so you should be able to run it. I had a 750P3, 320Mb, GeForce2, and it run well on 800x600.

You know what's so weird about GTA3? 800x600 is faster than 640x480

Mybe the game is made for 800x600, and as you use 640x480 the hole image has to be shrunk.

Never noticed that....Thanx.I'll try running it in 800x600 as I haven't even thought trying it.I'm running it in 640x480 and sometimes it's pretty slow..If what you say really works,i'll be saved.

@KiwisDoFly, you should definatelly buy it.It's a VERY VERY nice game (not to say the best..).Even if it doesn't run very good in your current pc, when you uprgade it (and you will someday

) you will really enjoy playing it...

Yes but it stays slow (GTA3) because i play it on an AMD Athlon XP 1800 + with a 32 mb TNT2 and 512 mb sdram..................
