NFS 11 Cover Art Competition

OK, so we are all awaiting the final word on the upcoming release of NFS 11. I've read many peoples opinions as to what the new NFS should be all about. Well this is your chance to show everyone what YOU think NFS 11 should be, through a cover art design. Front cover only as this makes it more of a challenge. Your design can be anything you want it to be, maybe even a bit sarcastic in order to get your point across You have controle over the new look, feel and title so have fun!

THEME: Create cover art for the upcoming NFS 11: FRONT COVER ONLY
SUBMIT DATE: 30th of April of this year
VOTING DURATION: 5 days. Will begin on the 1st of May
DIMENSIONS: 700x1000 pixels NO LARGER! This is the size of a front cover of most games available.

I had a chat with Pabl0z earlier today and he gave me the go ahead. I was unsure of posting a new comp at first but the comp rules are for Signature comps and Chopping comps. This is not a signature comp and the chopping comps are for chopping cars as far as I know. So it should be fine then

I like loopholes...

Well we have a day and a bit to figure out exactly how it should go down. I dont see the point in posting the final creations of your work for eveyone to see before the voting begins, cause that defeats the point of a comp and kills the anticipation of wanting to see everyones work... Am i missing something in the rules? If no one likes this idea please say so and we can go back to the Code used in other comps i.e. the RED FINAL ENTRY code used.

Thats cool. Any idea where in SA he/she is from?

an idea for a possible rule might be size restrictions? (resolution atleast, and filesize if needed?)

Whatever happened to the photoshop skills comps we used to have? we did other things such as magazine covers, game covers and stuff...this could be the resurrection of it [i think it died after the t-shirt comp a while back, lol] good thinking Gavh2

race_invader: One, don't quote pictures, for the eleventy-billionth time. Two, you don't need to quote the reply directly above yours.

Looks excellent, S2000, though as I said in the Photoshop Art Topic, you shouldn't apply radial blur to the brake calipers. The cars look a little dull, try adding some reflections. Lastly, the logo's a little hard to read, try making the scanlines a bit lighter.

Yes the name has nothing to do with the movie with the same title Just thought of it, used it and realised it was the movie...oh well..

Same as S2K, the city in my background is Melbourne, but its my own photography I spent a fair while on this, about three hours getting everything up to scratch..hope people like it =]

he didn't say it had to be 700x1000 pixels, he said it could be no larger. mine is a jewel case not a dvd.

Ummm.... since when does EA use 'old' jewel cases for their PC games?

The rules for the resolution should have just been 700*1000px only, which would have made it a bit easier to understand, and that way you wont get retarded resolutions.

Alright, just curious, I wasn't going to enter the competition anyway since my MS Paint skills can be easily outmatched by people with Photoshop.
