Signature, Save as...?

I just made a signature with paint.NET, a program pretty much the same as photoshop. I have the right dimensions, but I don't know what to save it as to be able to get the image address. could anyone tell me what kind of file I should save it as?

Usually a .jpg and adjust the file quality so its not too big.

If there's transparency use .png.

From there upload it to imageshack or photobucket or your own website.
