You could try looking for a CF one, you wouldn't have to re-color it.

Signature Reflections

Post by xHaZxMaTx »

Decided to make a tutorial on making reflections on a signature because of Carcrazy's post in the 'Show Off Your Sig' thread. Which is also why I used his sig. :P

Alright, first step is to make a selection (about the top half of the sig) using either the rectangular selection or circular selection tools.

ImageImage

Make a new layer. feather the selection by 1 pixel, fill it with white, and adjust the opacity (25%).

Image

Make another layer, then expand the selection by 5 pixels, then feather it by 10 pixels. Again, fill that in with white and change the opacity (25%).

Glass Reflections Effect

Here's my version on how to do the glass reflection:

Step 1: Select "Elliptical Marquee Tool".
Step 2: Drag the cursor across a few pixel before the width of the sig to a few pixel after the width of the sig, and across the top half of the sig.

Image

Step 3: Select Gradient Tool. Use gradient of white fading to transparent.

Image

Step 4: Drag the Gradient cursor from the bottom of the sig to the top of the sig.

After you know how to do that, you can try using pen tool to make a curved selection to make this:

 I've never done that before, so I can't help you. And unless you have hours of free time to delete exact pixels from an image, I don't think that would be the greatest thing to do. As for the design your own car thing, you'd probably be better off drawing it by hand and scanning it onto the computer unless you have one of those electronic pens.
