Problem with uploading

Hi! I'm new here and I've got some problems with uploading cars. First of all, my pictures are in mpg format and it says that I can only upload jpg images. How do I convert mpg to jpg? Also, all of my pictures are pretty big (about 2 mb). How do I make them under 500 kb?

Please help!

when you're saving your picture, click Save As as usual, and in the box that appears click the 'save as type' drop-down menu and select JPG. This format will make the file size smaller, so you should then be under the limit. Hope this helps.
