I noticed that winning two duels didn't put my car on the yesterday's tops at all. Just wondering what the whole point of duels is now... I have noticed doing a rep descending search it does have an effect on ranking though. Just saw the whole point of duels to gain more exposure, but this doesn't happen with the new system.

A valid point. Winning duels should probably award some stars aswell to the winner. How much, is open to debate.
