Chopping Subforum?

Post by macdaddy »

I just had this idea, the idea of a chopping subforum, instead of the one thread. A chopping subforum would be a lot neater, with all the comps and each chop having an INDIVDUAL thread, seeing as in the one Sticky we have now cars can get ignored easily.

Please respond.

i have some experiences with phpBB forums and yes you can't have subforums on this version of phpBB. and upgrading means a new portal system etc.

Then what about about a new forum about "Pictuning" :?:

It would be a new forum in the "General Discussion" section

I think that there are enough creative threads...

Anyway vBulletin forums allow to do that ;)

Yes, vBulletin is the ultimate board. But it's also $160 ;)
Maybe sometime later.

I think phpBB is more user-freindly compared to vBulletin. I find it easier to navigate things in phpBB, because I'm more used to it. :)

it costs around £80. lol.

But, this version of phpBB does allow sub forums. I have this version in my forum.
BUT, it's up to the admin if they want to add it...

IMO, everything you need is already set up thx to Bojan. Be happy with what you got ;)

Andre, Olympus is phpBB3.

macdaddy, we could as well have a subforum. There'll be a joint forum for this site, the juiced site and the gt4 site.

It's just evolution: first step was to unify the user databases. It's pointless to have the same offtopic, games, hardware... boards here and on the other sites, so the logical step is to join everything.

I don't understand, does this mean there will eventually be a subforum for chops, or not?

Not in this version of forum software.
In the new version it's possible.
