Your Grip Cars

Post by GT2LM »

What car would you choose for the Grip races?

Mine's a 997 GT2, No need for tuning, it's a twin-turbo flat six producing 552bhp! I'd only strip it of its weight even more, even though it's already 330 pounds lighter than the Turbo!

How about you?

I would go mostly with the Golf GTI with a lot of modifications added. It has the style and size that i like for circuit races. If i had to choose any other car i would pick either the Subaru Impreza or the Mitsubishi EVO.

Cheers!!! :)

yeah i'm with the E46 too because the E92 is quite heavy and it's not that nimble, it's just like the old 2004 Audi S4 if you driven it... it's an really good car but it's heavy on the front side and understeers like hell if you want to go through a chicane you have to make a skandinavian* flick to get it really fast

@Tsarg
The skandinavian flick is like this:
you have a left corner and you drive a car that understeers, now there are 2 ways to take the corner... one is to brake and take it at max grip but with an understeering car the speed is lower... and the other, just before the corner you brake just a bit to "move" the weight of your car to the front axle and then you make a quick right-left steer to make the car go sideways facing the left corner and then... well how you take a turn with a little slide is an other story :wink:

Small cars are not my thing. I like the Z4 though, but when talking about BMW i have always been an M5 fan. Big, robust and with one hell of an engine.

Indeed, the BMW M5 owns badly.
Too bad it hasn't been announced yet, and i'm afraid it won't be.. considering there are already 3 BMW's listed.

For grip racing? If you wanna take corners hella fast, it's all about the Lotus Elise. I would say the Lotus Exige S, but thats probably not gonna be in the game, well, it's not on the confirmed list anyways. But yeah, Lotus' are bad A cars. Best handling cars in the world! Perfect for grip =)

The 911 GT3 is the best handling car it the world. The 996 version holds the record of being the first ever production car to run a Nurburgring lap in under 8 minutes. It also doesn't lack performance, either. It will own the Exige in every aspect possible (except for price!), including reliability, practility, performance, handling and comfort.
