And unfortunately, the only reason the cars could keep up was due to the rubber-band effect.
(For those who dont know what that is: Rubber-band effect is a system in which, if one player gets too far ahead of the AI players, the AI players will mystically catch up).

A.k.a the Catch-up a.k.a. the Ketchup mode.

Yeah that sucked.

The only game I have ever played that didnt have this, Forza(1&2).

That's not how it works. It's only the opponents who catch up, and besides, I wouldnt let a three year old near any of my electronics.

haha ok then it makes the game more challenging and if they made the opponents cars much faster to match your car and made the ai actually human like then if a kid wanted to do king it would be too hard so then they make the games cars catch up to you so it is suitable for all people :D :D :D

I wonder if they will give you the option to turn cath-up off like in the previous NFS's.

To the person who said it was easy on King, it looked like King doesn't refer to the AI skill of the opponents but rather just to the assists that are on or off. Like all other Need for Speed's there is no way to change the difficulty level, it just gets harder as you get further along. I'm sure the final game will be much more challenging compared to the demo.

It better. I'm sick of all the non-challenging games that have come out this year.
