More Next NFS Rumours

Our member Titiuu found a rather interesting forum post on SupraForums.com. The post was posted by some user who is apparently looking for cars to do sound recording for a video game company. No exact video game name is mentioned, but it supposed to be a Need for Speed.

They are looking for the following cars to do sound recordings:

2006 Aston Martin DB9
2006 Aston Martin DBR9

2006 Audi RS4
2006 Audi S4
2008 Audi TT
2007 Audi S3

1971 Dodge Challenger
1969 Dodge Charger
1968 Chevy Camaro SS

94-98 Toyota Supra

2006 Lotus Elise

2006 Mazda Speed 3
93-96 Mazda RX-7
05-06 Mazda RX-8
2007 Mazda MazdaSpeed MX5

2006 Saturn Sky

2006 Scion Tc

92-96 Ford Escort Cosworth RS

2006 Chevy Corvette C6
2007 Chevy Corvette Z06
2006 Chevyet Cobalt SS

03-up Infiniti G35

2006 Lexus IS350

93-99 Nissan Skyline RB26DETT

2007 Pontiac Solstice GXP

2007 SEAT Leon Cupra

This of course is not the next car list, but if the sound recording is indeed for a Need for Speed game, it gives you the idea of what we're getting in the next game in the series.

Also if you own one of these babies, you can get $350 for being in the cast

EA makes a new NFS game too often!! they should make a new game every 1 1/2- 2 years imo, so each game would be at its best potential

I really doubt it's for Need For Speed as they make their own car sounds.. and this is just a member of a forum

True, plus half of all those cars were already recorded. No need to do it again..

actually they dont make there sounds

most of the cars in Carbon are sound recorded from there real cars

i wonder though how there gonna get a Austin Martin DBR9

Engine needs to be modified; the louder the better

Wtf? This is definitly not NFS. They would need stock tuned cars, from there they would edit the sounds for the exhuast they want. That is how it is done in all tune car games. They dotn record highly tuned cars for a base recording.

it shouldn't even be a rumour.. it's degeneric! I'll open up a topic on a forum I go and name it "NFS 3d car models plz omg111" and write "oh, we at EA need some 3d car modelz, pls send us some.. we don't have money, so we'd like some free ones!"

EA did record tuned cars before, for instance they recorded a highly tuned 350Z for Carbon.

But then I really doubt EA searching for cars outside of the North America. cause all recordings are done by EA Canada.

In previous nfs games (U2 and up) the european cars that are not sold in the US where not actual recordings but similar cars recorded.

IMO this list is abit byond a rumor... don't see alot of these cars in a real nfs game any time soon.

i don't think it's for NFS . . why would they want the sounds of the cars they already have? . . Besides . . EA can get these cars from the manufacturers directly for the game . . and for the racing cars . . they car catch teams too . . no need to wake the public in this . . but the 350 USD sounds good for a sounds test

But further research will show you Craig Lieberman [the guy who made the post] has done previous work with cars for Need For Speed games, not to mention various ads and movies such as the Fast and The Furious series, so in my opinion this guy is legit.

Meh. So what? EA wants to record sounds of different cars. Means jack about the next car list considering EA often uses sounds of other cars during upgrades. For example, there was a Ferrari sound in Most Wanted that was used when upgrading the engine on a certain car. This list means diddly when it comes to the next car list.
