[April Fools 2007] Carbon addon content soon available

We got word from our contact at EA that Need for Speed Carbon will soon get the first downloadable addons. Unlike currently available addons that just unlock cars that are already in your game, the new addons will actually bring new content to your game. The first expected addons to be available are the following cars:
Ferrari F430
Ferrari Enzo
Honda S2000
Honda Civic Type R
Mini Cooper
Spyker C8 Laviolette
TVR Tuscan
All cars will be available in the EA Webstore (for PC), on Xbox Live Marketplace (for Xbox 360) and in the PlayStation Store (for PS3) on April 15th for around $5 each.
There is a catch with downloadable content though - it will not be available for online play.

But that is not all that EA has planned. Presumably in May, the first additional tracks should become available as well. We haven't received much details about the downloadable tracks except that they'll probably be limited to canyons and drift tracks.

To promote the additional content, we've teamed up with EA to offer NFSUnlimited.net's users free downloadables. The first 20 users who send a pm to me (Bojan), will receive one free downloadable car. Hurry up!

Ah Crap!

That means im gonna have to buy NFS Carbon on PC since i got it on old xbox and my gamertag wont work on there.....

The addon car thing sounds nice though, but i would like to hear that ea fixes the problems in the game with a patch... I still have hopes...

Why? People who don't have the mod on their PC don't have the data of that car on their PC, so they aren't able to load the vehicle. Seems logical.
