Well then Nightwish isn't secular.
They're kinda like a mix between Linkin Park and Evanescence, sort like Alternative mixed with Gothic, but with an opera twist. The lead singer is a chick who sang opera, but she was told that she wasn't good enough so she joined the band Nightwish and so doing became more famous than she ever would have otherwise.
Their lyrics aren't offensive in the least.

If you want no offensive rock listen to POD there a christian rock band and if you don't believe me here visit this christian rock site http://www.christianrocklyrics.com/pod.php and here you can find other christian rock bands offcourse
None of Nightwish's albums are rated and none of their lyrics are explicit.
And I'd also say comparing them to main stream groups like Linkin park or evanescence is not a good idea since their music is on a totally different level. I noticed the term "Synphonic metal" used by their record company.
It's a very good mix of melodics, classical instruments, opera-like lead vocal and metal riffs and rythm. A great choice for those who like melodic songs.
I have the Once album and I must say it's the best album I've ever bought
Planning on buying Century Child next.

It wasn't really meant to be a comparison, just to give the idea what they might sound like. Probably not very accurate, but it's all I could think of.Bojan wrote:None of Nightwish's albums are rated and none of their lyrics are explicit.

That's A LOT of CDs! So what's the count with illegals included?Dragon-of-Rune wrote:i have all of them, i am a big altenative/metal music fan got over 1200 cd's (illigal not included )
To be honest the only thing that pisses me off with Nightwish is that they don't release all songs on normal albums - the ones which are available everywhere.
I can't however buy here an album that would contain Where Were You Last Night or Over The Hills And Far Away, imo two of their best songs.
I've got plenty of albums in mp3 and I'm probably gonna buy all eventually. Listening to Nightwish on mp3 and computer speakers is a waste of good music.

Linkin Park may not sing about God or whatever, but they definitely DO NOT sing about drugs, sex or death.Jopuma wrote:Both those groups (Linkin Park and Evanesance) are secular groups. Although Evanescance was Christian at one time they went secular to get more money.
