NFSMW reviews at IGN
<img src="http://www.nfsunlimited.net/news/rating.jpg" align="right" hspace="2"> Again, seems like IGN got their hands on the final PC version of NFSMW, reviewing it in 3 pages, and rating it with only 8.5 in opposition to NFSU2 which got a 9.1.
Most Wanted is also a long game. It's packed. Each of the 15 racers requires anywhere from seven to 10 races before you race them, and those boss competitions are usually two races. That's easily 15-plus hours just to beat the career mode. And that doesn't include the dozens of cop chases, additional milestones or free-roam races you can pick up at any time. It doesn't include the challenge mode or the online play either.
Detailed ratings:
Presentation: Stylish and different. Who would have thought FMV could be cool? Not I. Kudos to EA Canada. ----- (9.0)
Graphics: Good particles, great car models, and sleek designs. The PS2 fares worse than all the other versions. Oh, and Josie Maran never gets old to look at. ----- (8.0)
Sound: Kick-ass cop chatter and engine sound effects. And Josie Maran sounds as sexy as she looks. Yet another worthless EA soundtrack, however. ----- (8.0)
Gameplay: Good sense of speed, impeccable car roster, and a different feel to the cars. Erudite mission and course design. ----- (8.0)
Lasting Appeal: Fifteen-plus hours for the single-player career mode, not counting tons of incidentals, online or other modes. Very healthy replay value, indeed. Did I mention Josie Maran? ----- (8.5)
Overall: 8.5

That's it, but the thing i dont beleive is that the XBOX,PS2, & the GC versions got the same ratings of the PC version
, except that the PS2 version got a 7.5 in graphics instead of 8.0.

I think they are just full of sh*t, especialy with Graphics , actually i never really cared about any sites reviews except Gamespot, and for me, i'll wait to see what gamespot has to say, and even if it doesn't rate all that well i will still get it

Exactly. I'm surprised it got a lower rating than Underground 2.cluchmaster wrote:I think they are just full of sh*t, especialy with Graphics , actually i never really cared about any sites reviews except Gamespot, and for me, i'll wait to see what gamespot has to say, and even if it doesn't rate all that well i will still get it

8.5 isn't bad.... I would say that it is a very respectable score... I just hope it doesn't get too repetitive which I thought let down NFU2..

You can't compare Most Wanted to Underground 2... You can't compare Most Wanted to NFS 1 either. If you did, Most Wanted should get 20 or higher instead of 8.5, because Most Wanted is much better than NFS 1. In one year a lot is improved these days. This score is based on how games of today should be, not the games of yesterday. I think 8.5 is pretty good, cause 9.5 or even higher comes pretty close to perfect, and no game is perfect.

Only review rating i take into consideration really is, Gamespot's, anyway even though they rated it 8.5, what they said in the review itself was pretty good to see and it also cleared up some stuff for me where the amount of races you may be doing, is concerned , so their actual review to me is worth 9 or 10, so i won't be paying attention to the rating they gave.
The game basically is gonna be cool.

8.5 seems like a reasonable rating. What's an outrage is that they gave an 8 to the graphics of the PC version. That's bs. From what I've seen, I think graphics are at least 8.5. You can't really compare to the UG2 score since IGN over-rated UG2. To me, UG2 doesn't deserve more than a 7.8. That's why I'm waiting until Gamespot rates the game since they're a little bit less biased.

I don't like how IGN rated the PS2 version so poorly. 7.5!?! The hell!
Just because the graphics aren't high end like most of the other consoles doesn't make it okay for them to slam the PS2 to the ground. Look at Resident Evil 4, that game came out pretty damn good on the PS2, if not for a slight difference in audio. Personally, I think IGN is a bunch of graphical whores.

I think ps2 is at least a 8.1 you know. I mean it doesn't compare to pc but its still good, I mean its the only thing I got.
EDIT: No wait this is what it should be
PC: 9.4
PS2: 8.7+

Actually, i think that the GC's graphics are the worst in current gen platforms, even worse than the PS2's.
I've seen videos for NFSMW PS2 and GC, and PS2 was much better imo.
My ratings would be like this:
PC: 9.4
XBOX: 8.5
PS2: 8.3
GC: 7.8

No way PC would be 9.4. A 9.4 means the game is close to perfect and MW is far from perfect. IMO, doesn't deserve more than a 8.9. I may change my score if I play it but from the countless pictures and videos, the game looks really good but it is not excellent. (and 9 is an excellent)

PC: 8.8
Xbox: 8.5
Ps2: 8.2
GC: 7.6

come on guys...in my eyes the grahpics are amazing..and in terms of ps2's graphics..comparing MW to racing games out there in the market...MW will ESAILY take the street racing crown once again...I actually can't beleive my eyes that ps2's graphics was this good...much more better then i thought..and espeically for a NFS game that had its reputation torn down by the past 2 games..I must say..I'm VERY impressed. I can't wait to play...and drive my rx7 and mercs.. (no ferraris so mercs next, yes mercs are nicer then porsches imo..mercs are sleek..i love sleek..porsche just...porsche.)
