does the ps2 cheat really work for nfsu2? Up, Left, Up, Up, Down, Left, Down, Left - Unlocks Spyder 850 HP if so, tell me how to do it please

i know that part. but does the cheat work? cause i tried it and it didn't work for me... not even in quickrace
