Tell you what, I'm not buying this game until they fix the stutter. Totally ruins the game. OK, its only a 6800nu, 1 GB ram and a lousy Athlon XP 2400+, but I don't have any other games that have a problem with it. It is not my system. The game is broke.

WHat stutter are you talking about? I might have the same problem as you, but I'd love to know your problem, and if this could be a similar problem as mine, we could help one another to rectify the problem.

Nop... You just have to launch the patch and it will automatically patch the game to the latest version.

A lot of people hav this problem were the game stutters during gameplay and people hav really long waiting times when they go in or out of freeroam.
This is a problem with the game itsellf, they say that there is a memory leak somewhere in the game code.
Hopefully EA are working on this problem for us.
Theres is a whole topic on EA official forum.
SO we just hav to grin and bear it for the time being.

Does the game's stuttering sound like this?
"<engine revving>
vrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr(then back to normal)oom..."? for a period of time (seconds)?
If that's the case, you abnd I may be having the same problems. Just so you know, this doesn't only happen in the gameplay. It happens in accessing menus as well, and it sure is irritating as hell!

the problem IS from RAM i think. If the videos is the problem, you wouldn't able to turn on a lot of visual effects, because i have all the effects availables and turned on, but i only have 256 of System Ram, not video card memory.

I think it has something to do with my sound card... I tried every possible ways, like ending background tasks, lowering my graphic settings, switching off motion blur, but to no avail.
On the other hand, I have another suckier PC with 128MB of RAM, 32MB video card, and the game runs extremely smooth! Well, it lags time to time because of the lousy specs. But overall, it doesn't lock up with this annoying sound along with it.
So there's definitely something messing up in THIS computer of mine which I use to play NFSMW.

Stutter
The stutter I have noticed isn't in the sound, its in the video frames. The game will be going along at about 30 fps and then a frame will hang for. About half a second, and then the game picks up again until about 10 or 20 seconds later when another frame will just. Hang there for a noticeable time. The effect is like. Trying to read someones post with. Extra periods put. In here and there.
I must say that NFSU2 is a thing of beauty and I was expecting much more from this.

It doesn't make any sense... Mine freezes in the Menus too, you know? Now where does that come from? If other PC are playing with this game smoothly, why can't us? I'm extremely disappointed with this..
