The dude at the IGN interview. It's obvious he has no idea what he's talking about...and I honestly doubt EA will put in classic cars in a game...especially one with Carbon's atmosphere. I will bet any amount of money it is the XK8/XKR.

I bet he meant XKR, since the "E" and "R" keys are so close together. :D

He probably meant the XK, because I don't see a XKE in NFS it's too old !

Yeah, but maybe EA is testing new "car concepts" like the camaro SS in MW. As I remember in a video interview, a EA dude said once: "we are testing this (camaro SS) to see what we can learn and do in future releases" and there u go: Muscles in Carbon. Maybe there are going to be "testing cars" that are going to be in the following nfs series, and if that XKE in carbon, maybe the next game is going to return to old times, like old streetracing, who knows??

The video is pretty old. It's from Gamespot at the X06 convention. Anyways, it's not about the car, it's about the driver. True, there are cars better than others at drifting but in the end, any car can be great at drifting if the driver knows what he's doing (and in this case, he doesn't).

Anyways, did anyone realize this...I was bored yesterday so I downloaded the NFS U demo (couldn't be bothered to search my collection to find the full game) and I noticed the handling is much more realistic than in newer games...especially compared to MW. Hopefully, Carbon will steer a bit towards the simulation side...

back then Underground was their first tuner game. I remember before and when it came out...good times. BTW, i just tested and the handling does feel a little more realistic.

in the newer ones, the cars can move across the street in just a little tap. o_O

There will not be any drag races.

There will be offline race modes.

Career mode features an open road architecture.

The ps2 demo is different man, you have to steer with the analog, in which u have a more softly handling depending how much u press the analog...and obviously it's not going to be the same for a keyboard in the PC demo...

Speaking of the demo, does anyone here have the XBOX 360 version yet?

Yes, EA has told us that there won't be any drag racing in Carbon. They claim that they want to re-invent the drag racing system.

They've said from the very beginning...from the first preview...that they will NOT implement drag races...Why are we having this discussion?
