Has anyone checked out this site:
http://be-notorious.co.uk/
Not only is it done in Most Wanted's style, they apparently have the "official" requirements for NFS Carbon, which are a little bit different from the previous reported ones. Plus, the site is really, really cool...
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
OS - Windows 2000/XP
Processor: 1.7 GHz or faster
Memory: 512 MB RAM
Hard Drive: 4.7 GB
DVD Drive - 8 SPEED
Video Card: 64 MB*
Sound Card - DirectX 9.0c compatible
DirectX - Version 9.0c
Online Multiplayer: 512 Kbps or faster; 2-8 Players
Input - Keyboard, Mouse
Optional: USB Steering Wheel / Dual Analogue Gamepad
*Supported chipsets: NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti-4200 or greater (GeForce MX series not supported); ATI Radeon 8500 or greater. Laptop versions of these chipsets may work but are not supported. DirectX 9.0c is included on this disc and may require the latest drivers for your video and sound card. Notice: This game contains technology intended to prevent copying that may conflict with some DVD-ROM, DVD-RW and virtual drives.

Yeah I know that, I'm a mechanic by trade, but there are several pre 90's cars there, that spiking wouldn't affect. I doubt that EA would have designed it like that, as its not exactly a racing sim.prince1142003 wrote:Even the newer muscle cars have computer chips in them. It's only the pre-1990 cars that didn't have anything electronic in their engines.

Does anyone feel that the video about how the story of Carbon starts spoils the whole game? It kinda like takes out all the 'shock value' it was supposed to have. I wouldn't be able feel its impact when I buy the game. You know, 'changing the gameplay experience'?

Meh, I wasn't even excited about the game in the first place. The game is about racing (and ricing for the new generation of NFS "fans"), so honestly, I could care less about the story. I'd rather want for EA to work on improving the actual racing experiency, than wasting time on stupid, cheesy storyline. The original NFS games had no stories, or in fact, they didn't have a Career mode (High Stakes was the first one) and they were great games. Why? Because back then EA concentrated on the cars, tracks and racing.yammer_y2 wrote:Does anyone feel that the video about how the story of Carbon starts spoils the whole game?
