From playing the ps2 demo..i can tell u that the handling of the gallardo is
almost the same as the MW one...but i could be wrong since im not a great fan
of the ps2...

Release date for German version delayed?

As it seems the release date of Need for Speed Carbon has been moved to 9th of November...initially November 2nd was planned.It's not sure yet, if this only affects Germany, or all Europe...

edit- i looked at the pics of cars from the collectors edition. i noticed that the carrera had a rear spoiler, orange lights, and an orange roll cage. i know its not a real picture, but it looks like you can customize the exclusive cars.

Ah, I see the rollcage and everything else now. Let's hope EA didn't do it like Most Wanted where the bonus cars were already non-stock, yet they weren't customizable.

What do they mean with ' German version'? I know German games are always completely translated to German (voice acting etc). So that could mean some delay. If it's not, I assume the EU version itself is delayed too? Because I can't imagine that Germany have to wait 5 days longer than all their EU-neigbours

Well, I don't know if you saw the many videos from the German site but all the writing was in Germans so I presume the German version will be delayed a few days to verify or complete translations.

i have one question. does anyone know what the car will be that we start career mode in? U2: Rachael's 350Z, MW: the BMW M3. what will we start with in Carbon? a car that users sculpt? just a random car? or as i read earlier in another topic, some guys Audi R8?

You enter Palmount City with the exact same BMW M3 GTR from Most Wanted with Cross chasing you. In the canyon, your BMW will get wrecked in a construction zone and a crew will save you from Cross. Then, your ex-girlfriend hooks you up with a new ride. You can choose from one of the following: Camaro SS (Muscle), RX-8 (Tuner), or Alfa Romeo Brera (Exotics) and it starts from there...

About the demo being released on October 17, 2006. That is the PS2 demo available in a package with other demos. It is unknown if it is the same PS2 demo or an updated one. As for the PC demo, the Most Wanted demo came one week before the release of the game, therefore, chances are the Carbon demo will be released on October 24,2006, the latest.

Well, I can tell you for sure we'll have to wait AT LEAST one more week...

EDIT: Update on the game delay:
EA acknowledged that the releasedate of Need for Speed Carbon is still October 31st in the USA, but it's still known if the possible delay only affects Germany (and possibly Austria and Switzerland) or all Europe...

Are you sure that isn't the ship date? Because, EBGames employees told me it is going to be released on Nov. 1st.

That Porsche looks like a 997 GT3, and if it the RS variation, it could be that the orange roll cage is stock, as the picture of the GT3 RS in this picture shows: http://www.leftlanenews.com/wp-content/ ... dg=1&idi=9

Edit: Also note on the real GT3 RS that the mirrors and spoiler are different colors than the main color of the car.

I was thinking the same, and if it weren't for the purple muscle car, we might have been able to get a look at side skirt of the Porsche to see if it has the GT3 vinyl that the RS has.
