Drawing/ Painting Competition #1 - Your Dream Car
You have just arrived at the very first Drawing and Painting Competition.
In this competition you are to draw or paint that car you are itching to own.
You may decide to use a reference picture and draw a currently existing car or get creative and design your own dream ride.
We will see how successful the competition is while merging painting with drawing, future competitions may change.
This first competition topic is designed to be applicable to everybody so as everybody can have a good go at the first competition.
Just make sure you follow all of the dreaded rules:
Allowable mediums include:
Lead etc Pencils
Colouring Pencils etc (Crayons etc)
Colouring Pens etc (Biro)
Acrylic and silimar paints (Watercolour)
Silimar drawing and painting materials are accepted within reason.
Adjusting levels/ brightness related proporties to a minor degree is acceptable just for tidying up the drawing as it is hard to get a tidy photo or scan of a drawing (In my case at least) But the actual editing of lines etc is not acceptable.
Make sure the reference pictures you may use will not cause problems relating to copyright or silimar problems.
You can use an older drawing you did at a past date if you cant get a drawing done in time.
You can enter as many entries as you like becuase I am unsure of the amount of entries coming in, just don't flood the poll with a riddiculous ammount of entries.
Have fun!
Deadline is 8th of November, however may be flexible.
Scratch that, lets try the 16th of November
Ok, now the final date remains at 1st December, no more re-dates.

Hmm yeh, I'm also a slow drawer. I haven't even started yet Can we extend the deadline by a week?jacoja06 wrote: Anyhoo, my starting time: Friday 27th October 2006.
Finish: Some time in 2008
I’m also thinking about another week for the comp. I'll be busy as hell in the next week.boganbusman wrote: Hmm yeh, I'm also a slow drawer. I haven't even started yet Can we extend the deadline by a week?
I was thinking more in terms of a certain muscle car ... but now I'm having second thoughts. I might just draw a made-up car like t3ice has done (very nice btw ).boganbusman wrote:rofl . . . a Celica is not my dream car

lol, yes! But I'm beginning to finalize the shape of my car, and I can tell you it looks nothing like the Mustang I was intending to draw.
I'll keep it a surprise.
Edit: Bah... I cant seem to get effective reflections on the car (like tunerfreaks). I might go over it again and see what I can redo.
Edit2: Maybe I don't need another week for my sketch afterall. We'll see how everyone else goes with it.
Edit3: Any progress in the past day? I've been waiting for updates.

Wow, thanks a lot Tunerfreak. Fantastic guide indeed
I've never really drawn tread on a tyre before I (because my wheels are usually to dark to see tread anyway), but I may consider it this time .
I might post a Work In Progress within the next day... but don't expect a masterpiece ... alot of work is needed.
Edit: I'll do it now

Woah, I was considering going easy on you guys, but apon seeing your work Jacoja the fight is on
I think we might be seeing quite a battle. Yours has a serious concept look as well as T3ice that makes my concept look bland and possibly too much like reality and even Bogans is taking shape wonderfully.
I think I will go ahead and make a whole car tutorial sometime.
By the way you can add a background if you wish, hope it wasnt too late to mention that
