What is better?

Post by Southend Rage »

A ATi Radeon 256 MB Pro PCI-E X1300 or a 512MB PRO-PCI_E X1600?

X1600 Pro is way better despite the memory configurations. I'm sure it costs quite a bit more too.

Check this page mate and you can see which is best. Both the x1300 and x1600 stats are based on a 256mb card, but the x1600 is still better, so add the 512mb version and it's going to be way ahead of the x1300.

You should buy at least Radeon X1650 Pro (or even X1650 XT, NOT WITH DDR2). X1300 XT (DDR3) is also good.

X1600 Pro is better than X1300 Pro, but you should search for DDR3 version (DDR2 vs. DDR3 memory clocks: 800 vs. 1400 MHz). 512 MB RAM isn't needed on this card.

Check http://www.benchmark.pl/artykuly/zestaw ... ienie.html, here you can find all X1300 and X1600/X1650 versions. It's in polish, but it's easy to understand it (MHz GPU - graphics processor clock, "pamięć MHz" - memory clock).
