I just noticed after having the game since Christmas, when the helicopter is chasing you that it will sometimes hover a couple of feet above the road, and i was wondering if this meant that you could somehow run into it

It's certainly possible. The helicopter will even take part in roadblocks occasionally. When you do hit it, you'll find it's the original unmovable object - it will stop you dead in your tracks.

I normally risk by hitting every roadblock if I'm fast. But if i'm slow i'm screwed.

I love trading paints. I normally damage them by sidesweeping. That's another strategy.
