why drive when you can just "teleport" using the map?Carcrazy wrote:I'd like at least some minor modifications... and why the heck is there only ONE Nissan shop??? I have to drive half way across the island to get parts for my skyline... then drive back to the GT club...

I rented it for both systems. There are many differences between the two.Carcrazy wrote:Speaking of skyline... I rented the game for my new ps2... and I have to say ya'll really made it sound better than it was... It would suck if it wasn't for the skyline... but now it rocks because of it!darknight788 wrote:drove the skyline and i am quite pleased with it, it is reasonably quick and it drifts really well ... a competitor to cars like the lotus for sure
1. No Nissan Skyline in the 360 version.
2. Ford Island is locked on the 360 version.
3. You cannot start out with the Ford Mustang in the 360 version.
4. There are no big money missions in the PS2 version.
5. There is no damage in the PS2 version.
6. Downloadable cars for 360.
I am sure there is many more, just can't remember them yet.

I think he wants to get his drive distance up, I teleport to anywhere that is over 20 miles away from me.

Re: Test drive unlimited
I've found out most roads on the island, with the exception of the downtown area. So it's really easy for me to get around. It's too bad my game still doesn't work... I might try putting the patch in tomorrow.
Btw, the XLR-V is probably one of the worst cars in the game. It is the worst car in its class, and you can get much cheaper cars like the Corvette C6 (I forget which class the XLR-V is in) which handles like a charm. Also, the Pagani Zonda is a pretty bad deal for a class A car. For a bit more, you can get a Saleen S7 which is 10 times better.
And Koenigsegg, there are bikes in the game too. But you have to find every single car dealership before you can buy/use bikes.

consider yourself lucky. i think support for the 8 series cards is lacking although i hardly get any problems with the release version. but i think the patch is still beta so all problems fixed isnt likely yet

I told you, I only managed to get the XLR-V in a few hours. I won it after completing the Graduation Races. Now I have a Lotus Exige .Porsche-AG wrote:Btw, the XLR-V is probably one of the worst cars in the game. Also, has anyone noticed the Skyline is RWD not 4WD?

Re: Test drive unlimited
What system? X360 or PS2? On PS23 it looked (and drove) pretty RWD-ish to me... do a burnout and look at the side, or pin the front against a pole and do it... only the rear wheels spin. And no, that's not from a differential.

Thanks for the notification, now I can install the patch without having any doubts about it and see if my game will finally work after this 3-week idle.

Re: Test drive unlimited
There is a Nissan skyline in the 360 version... Trust me i have the game but it's a DLC. Ford island is locked but is unlocked after you get deep into the game, and there isn't any damage in TDU at all anyway... Also those who think the skyline is Rwd then they are incorrect the X360 version skyline is 4WD and is the same on PC & goes for all other consoles etc.Black Fire wrote: I rented it for both systems. Oh. Well, i guess that's pretty good, since most cars wouldn't go when put into a pole...

Re: Test drive unlimited
I know most of you know since you have the PC version but awhole bunch of cars coming out sooner or later its easy to check too for PC users though. If you look in you game folder Euro/Bnk/Vehiclesall these cars are going to come out on X360 first though then make there way to PC
Lamborghini Diablo GT
Citroen
Mazda RX5 and RX8
and more just go through files etc, then you will see what comes out fully!
Who ever does this and collects awhole list paste it on here and show us then we will know all the cars... and discuss

Btw,if Skyline has 4WD,is it good at drifting?I thought that RWD are the best for drifting.

Re: Test drive unlimited
@ darknight: I'm not sure whether I'll have time to test the game out today or tomorrow, so I might have to try once I get back from New York City. But I might be able to cram some time in today, which is being taken up by studying for my final tomorrow. I'll be sure to let you (and everyone else here) know how it all goes. I'm also going to try installing the game on my HP Pavilion laptop, which has all the recom requirements except it's using an NVIDIA 6150 Go video card, which might not handle it.

Re: Test drive unlimited
@ Porsche-AG I wouldn't bother. That 6150 would choke under the pressure. I tried it on a 6200 LE and it was horrible.
