xturbo wrote:Ok let's think this: What happens if there's FULL damage and not by "phases"? At the first crash you will have, you'll be complaining :"Damn EA.." and so on. If there's full damage at the first crash, all the "newbies" will say: "NFS sucks and blablabla..." and there will be no more $ for EA...less "fans"...less money for EA. They're trying to do it easy for the n00bs and newbies who are new to the NFS games, EA never point to the TRUE fan base like us.

BUT, all this can change to a good way for us IF EA creates an option (at this time I doubt it) to allow realistic damage just at the first crash or any accident. Then we can stop complaining about the "light - med and heavy damage thing". I still insist: WE HAVE DAMAGE AT LEAST IN THIS NFS..think of that...maybe not too much developed as you guys say...but it's there.

Xturbo.
Problem is not stages... in fact its logical to get stages depending on the gravity of the accident, or the amount of hits during the race. But there should be more variety of damage models. Like stablishing about 30-40 zones for each car, and making 3 damaged models for each zone (light, medium, full). Those are 90 models (30x3), but I guess its not too complicated, just take the 3D program and spoil the car model for each one  easy and fast.

Then when the player crashes his car in the game, it must recognize what of those 30 parts is/are involved in the accident and reveal their damaged versions (light, medium or full) according to the speed when crashing, etc.

Finally some details like wheels off, broken windows (3 or 4 models), scratched paint (2-3 models per zone), loss of speed, messed out engine sounds, dark smoke, etc.

Result: an awesome damage system, by spending how much, 1 additional month of development? I think its worth.
Still rolling my eyes

That was in the CGI portion of the video. Actual in-game footage never showed wheels falling off.

yeah, but in what we've seen so far, from the latest trailers. there was no hard impacts, that would cause the wheels to fall off ... at least i didn't saw one.

No but we did see a crash which caused the car to be totalled and it didn't require a lot of damage to be so.

apparently though in the full game you can loose your wheels ( as some cars in real life can only drive on 3 of 4 wheels) it has a special suspension management thingo!

I just hope that the control of the car will be different from the one in Juiced ! Otherwise, it's like driving a soap on a water floor...

Is somewhat disappointed in that there is no cops in Pro Street and i couldn't get any info from the videos if you can free roam in the game.
