So that's what an older MR2 looks like... that thing has LOTS of potential!

Pffft . . . it's not about looks, Djiel  The MkI is the MR2 in it's purest form; a proper sports car. I still think it looks good anyway, the MkII is too fat imo.

As for the Celica, I don't know what I'll do with that. I'll probably keep it for a while, and then sell it (It's not worth much anymore). You want it? :P

Yeah the body is perfect (hardtop!), no rust or anything, and the interior is immaculate too.

But I certainly paid the price . . . AU$8450 #-o And there a few little things that need to be done (including the timing belt/idler/water pump). I think it was worth it though, it's so hard to find one in original condition around here.

More pics and details when I get it

Zomg!! Very nice find bogan.
I just checked out the cars page, and it sounds bloody terrific… very low kilometres compared to my car.
Can’t wait for some bigger images! :P

He lives in The Netherlands, and here it's alot harder to get your license then it is in the US.

Yeah, well hopefully my current Celica will last. :o Recently it managed to completely drain 4 litres of oil within just a few weeks. I was unaware it was empty, and continued to drive normally for the last few days... so now there are some heavy knocking noises coming from the engine. Bloody gasket. :x

But when I eventually do sell the car, I'm still interested at looking at a Non-twinturbo 300zx (or maybe a newer car… with some passion)

I've paused that mission for a brief moment. I can't figure out how to fit it without extracting a major chunk below where the screen sits... and that would just look crap.

harder than a class a CDL license ? what im saying is there are morons everywhere that drive and it makes you wonder how they ever got their licenses, but they did. its not meant to be extremely hard because these are new drivers not experienced ones

Currently I'm driving this little sucker.

1.0 50kW petrol engine, a/c, no radio and pretty much nothing else. It does get me from point A to point B but that's basically all it does.
Better by far than riding a bus though.

Hopefully my car will be fixed soon... [-o<

Please, for the love of god, do not buy a 300ZX [-o< If you must buy a Nissan, get a 180 or Skyline.

Another Celica would be good though :) Or get a Supra like you wanted before.

No, no, no! :o ... it can still run perfectly fine. I just need to top-up the oil every so often, or get the gasket replaced (which is expensive, but still fine considering the car cost me 2 grand). You've got to expect crap like this from your first car... that's what they're all about :P.

What's wrong with a standard 300ZX? I've heard they're meant to be quite good (apart from being a nissan...).

As for the supra; I almost forgot about those. But yes, I am interested in buying one also :)
A new Celica is also an option!

Wtf? That’s very odd to see a new car without a radio. Even Hyundai’s have radios in them (sorta  ).
Despite that, I do like the look of those peugeots.

It's the same look as the Toyota Aygo / Citroën C1. It may look semi decent from the outside (for a small car anyway), but on the inside it looks really cheap with all the plastic and bad seats. Funny thing is it has 4 doors and the rear doors practically end with the car... The trunk has like 20cm of depth... Still I guess it's suitable for city driving.

darknight788, A commercial license is something completely diffirent then a normal car.
And getting a license in the US is very diffirent then it is in europe en specially in The Netherlands.

Our driving tests are one of the hardest in the world.
Standard you drive in a manual, you can take lessons in a automatic but you can only have a Automatic gearbox license, and thus are not allowed to drive a manual.
And because 95% of all cars here are manual, the lessons are almost always in a manual car.
And with that comes that due to the fact that the roads here are pretty full, and we have of special rules.
In general the most vehicles you will encounter in the US are cars and other vehicles that fall in the same catagory.
Over here there the bicylce is one of the most used ways of transport, and alot of scooters etc. wich makes the roads alot more hectic.
I driven in the US several times and even in the centre of Seattle and it was alot easier then it is here, yeah there where alot of cars on the road but in general it was the only thing to worry about.

You simply can't compare it, and you don't even want to know what you need to know to be a commercial truck driver, look I don't know how much you need to know to become one in the US, but I know that you have to go to school here for more then a year. (and I am not talking driving school  )
