Not bad performance wise for the price. I have no experience w/ that model or the Extensa line, so I couldn't tell you what the build quality is like, though knowing Acer, it's probably sub-par. At least their customer service is first rate, though.
Same here, I did some research and it seems pretty good but still, it's integrated. It still beats the ATi X300/X300m, which are both the only integrated graphics I've recently worked with so maybe it will preform a little better.
Besides, I don't know much about the motherboard, so maybe once Christmas gets here and I get my Christmas Bonuses, I can take it back to Best Buy and have Geek Squad install a graphics card, since I have little knowledge of laptop repair/modification.
The Intel integrated GPUs have the potential (this one is 4 pixel pipelines @ 333 MHz, 0 vertex shaders, 533 MHz x 64-bit memory), but the driver support is atrocious. They've improved driver support a lot over the last couple of years, but it's still WAY behind Nvidia and ATI.
Also, odds are that laptop won't have any room or connections for a graphics card, plus laptop GPUs cost a fortune.
Yeah, they are way more expensive than Desktop GFx Cards. I [will] have $200-300, so I can at least get a 7 series (hopefully) if it has a (mobile) PCI-e port. And I also read on intel that they are making some better drivers for it to be more compatible with Windows Vista.
Also @ Jmac-, since this one has a Dual Core a 2GB DDR2 RAM, I'll probably learn my lesson about vista.

Aslong as you arnt using it for gaming, it should be fine, seeing as there isnt much that you can to with 1.46GHz. I am also considering a laptop, for schooling purposes next year, but I myself wouldnt even go near ACER. Never had good luck using ACER products.
Actually, between all the laptop's I've used, the Acer is the only one that hasn't had problems. All the HP's Dell's and Gateway's have had problems. I would probably only go with a Compaq or an Acer.
