Read the whole article here.Drift it the mode which will take the most practice to master and is also the game mode that changed the most compared to previous games. This year drift is all point to point and like drag you will have 3 attempts with the best score being counted. Physics in the drift are pretty much like in the rest of the game except with all assists off and a little less traction on the tyres. Also there are no bonus areas and only the length and the speed of the drift will count.
ProStreet Preview: Racing (Part 3)
ProStreet Preview: Racing (Part 3)
The third Need for Speed ProStreet preview is up and this time I talk about racing and deeply explain all the race modes in the game.
Re: ProStreet Preview: Racing (Part 3)
wow, nice article, very detailed. It gives you a good idea of what ProStreet looks like!!
Finally, I have been waiting for that, but, as you say, it will make it more difficult. The other tricky thing will be the fact that the cars aren't attached to a lane but drive the same as in other game modes.
Who found out you can get milk from a cow, and what the hell was he doing at the moment?
Re: ProStreet Preview: Racing (Part 3)
nah, cars that aren't on "rails" aren't that hard to navigate around. this probably means that they'll do anything they can to slow you down. so you can just tail gate them, PIT them, maybe even sideswipe them. since they're not on rails, they should be just as easy to push as you are. the problem could be pushing them first thoughRVD wrote:wow, nice article, very detailed. Well, just try to keep your 60's american muscle car, tuned to 1000hp, in a straight line without spinning like a maniac because of the sheer overload of power.....let alone controlling your car in a wheelie....Sweet-16 wrote:nah, cars that aren't on "rails" aren't that hard to navigate around.

Re: ProStreet Preview: Racing (Part 3)
I wonder how will drag racing feel on a force feedback racing wheel =)
I like the feeling of wrestling a steering wheel.

Re: ProStreet Preview: Racing (Part 3)
In a 1/4 mile drag race, especially if your car is fast, you'll have no time to deal with the opponent
Re: ProStreet Preview: Racing (Part 3)
does this mean the will be split screen .well i hope the new skyline sedan will be in the game
Re: ProStreet Preview: Racing (Part 3)

Re: ProStreet Preview: Racing (Part 3)
That pic is crap...its just a chop. We know the R34 skyline and the Skyline GTR will be in the game, don't know about the other ones. Wait isn't the one sthibo posted just an Infiniti?
Re: ProStreet Preview: Racing (Part 3)
Not in Japan. Infinity G35 = Nissan Skyline in Japan.
Re: ProStreet Preview: Racing (Part 3)

Re: ProStreet Preview: Racing (Part 3)
There ain't no R36, the newest is GTR R35 a.k.a GTR Proto
@sthibo : Do you even notice that your R36 picture is just a concept drawn by just someone else? It's drawn and painted.

Re: ProStreet Preview: Racing (Part 3)
Wtf... please, we don't need another skyline topic.
About the grip mode: I noticed in a number of prostreet videos that there are guidelines on the road so that inexperienced drivers are able to learn how to use a proper racing line. Is there an option to switch this off, or are they just completely removed at a higher level of the game?

Re: ProStreet Preview: Racing (Part 3)
New the GTR has replaced the PROTO in the game, I think.....If they havn't it'll seem pretty pointless to have both of them.Fishwhiz wrote:but now theres the new official gt-r too, not just the protoshengfeng wrote:There ain't no R36, the newest is GTR R35 a.k.a GTR Proto
Re: ProStreet Preview: Racing (Part 3)
This sucks. EA was so proud to say there will be one set of physics for all modes (no drift physics), but then they make control sensitivity or steering different... lameBojan wrote:but there is a huge difference between them. In the first the handling will be very unsensitive, cars hardly turn. On the other race the controls are extremely sensitive, tap the control a little bit to the right and you end up off the road possibly in a tree.
Like every nfs it gets better and better with more info you get until about a month before release, then it gets worse and worse.
