NFSPS - every drift car tested

Post by YaelDjiel »

Spend some hours testing every single car on Autopolis B

I have written down the highest score I got for each car during my testing, I didnt use any older records (e.g. got 12k and 13k with the Z4 and Camaro SS before but the scores in the test were lower)

I hope this gives a bit of an image on what the cars can do in drift
some pretty interesting results imo

keep in mind this was tested on just 1 track and with one setup
also, I'm obviously not the best drifter around and im sure much better scores can be done and some cars work better for some people than others.

Oh shi-. Nice work, Yael. I wish I had time to do stuff like this... Yeah, that Chevelle SS seems to be the easiest car to drift.

Just curious, what's your favorite drift car? Also, how did you get all the money to buy and tune these cars?

the rx-8 is definitely my fav one, stable, fast, turns nice etc
money is easily cheated :>

the scores were taken from a 3 run race
the F tag is used when 1 score was much higher than the other 2, imo that was a fluke then
T is used when I think the car is tough to drift

For 360? Please share.

I've used all the codes, and it only lets me enter them once.

P.S. You should do this for grip racing.

Interesting as it shows the differences in peoples style.

I'll have a go with some of the cars mentioned and use my Corolla as the baseline. Also points out that not all the cars that are considered drifters are doing too well!

This is great! HA, I'm still trying to finish the game before using the cheats. Pitty the AE86 is not a good performer :( It's the underdog legend in the drifting world... I am yet to try it out. What is the best drift track in the game?

Interesting.

I've made my best drift scores with the Corolla - after a bit of tuning, admittedly. 8)

I got several cars for drift and also tested several cars, at the moment I have a E46 M3 and a 06 Mustang. the mustang has all lvl4 powerparts and the rest lvl3 (exept it runs on stock tires, was dragking car before) the M3 is full lvl3
In the normal runs I could beat the competition with relative ease, I managed to beat them and in most cases get the laprecord.
But now I am invited to the Driftking races, I already got into problems in the first series, I simply didn't manage to get it right anymore and got hardly 2500 point.
The second half of the raceday where better and I managed to get the last 3 races in first place with a not very disapointing score.
But the the second raceday came, and I simply can't even come close to the scores of the opponents. in early races I managed to get decent scores, but it looks like even though it doesn't feel I am getting worse my scores are getting worse.

Any suggestions, for instance other cars to choose or something. I love the way my M3 and Stang look but he... looks don't win races....

As highlighted by Yael's tests, I think you already have one of the best drifters.. The E46 is the car I used to beat every drift race up to the king.. still haven't taken on the king, but I'm quite sure that it'll do.. More than looking for a better car, I would suggest looking for better controls? What are you using right now? I'm set up with a steering wheel and, honestly, with the same upgrades as you, I'm 'drifting' loops around the competition. Well.. maybe that's a little exaggerated .. ;) but I had no problems winning.. Before the E46 I used a 350z.. I wouldn't say that's a half baked choice either, but personally I prefer the E46 =).. Maybe try tuning it a bit..

The E46 wasn't bad really, but I did give the RX8 wich I converted from a grip car, and managed to beat the tokyo dockyard drifts with it (more luck then skill but ok... I really didn't like those tracks) after that the Autopolis tracks and I simply smoked the competition again.
As soon as I beat the Drift king, wich wasn't hard eighter. I used his car for drifting and also beat RYO with the RX7.
I sold the RX8 and now only have the RX7, E46 and Mustang GT 06 left.

I used it for awhile, it was ok, but i've moved on and got myself an E46 and still have a silvia, which handles a bit similiarly to the Rx-7, but is a bit better.
