I was a true fan of Gran Turismo and Prostreet reminds me of that game.
I don't care for police chasing really, im here to race not to run from cops. But its only my personal opinion.

I play the game, design a few cars, play the game, design, play, design
that way its always interesting.

BTW keep a lookout for my new BMW coming real soon!
Same here. Old school NFS have got to learn that police pursuits will only get the franchise so far, up to a point where they have got to do something new.

I like PS for the race modes and customization, but it's too arcade for a sim, too sim for arcade and can be done a whole lot better! It just doesn't live up to the GT series or Forza, needs more work. Underground 1 and 2 were probably the best of the lot. MW was good, but the customization went backwards.
Also... why are all the times 14 nov 2004?

what? 14th of November 2004? What are you talking about?

Anyway, I agree that it's (Prostreet) very rough, and still needs a lot of polishing to make it a worthwhile game.

Anyone else get this?

And yeah, I think the reason PS didn't do well well was because it was simply not fantastic enough. I felt it was too easy at times, ridiculous at others, unrealistic at other times, glitchy, the whole ryan cooper thing is a bit corny. They could have taken on GT and Forza and served up some organic wood oven pizza, but they gave us dominoes pizza instead... looks good, but tastes like fast food. Well, this is a fast game, and half the cars weren't even finished, not to mention some horrendous texture problems! I love the tuning aspect and the idea, but they're not giving me a good reason to buy future NFS titles!

I'd take GT5 Prologue over Pro Street any day. I mean, it's a demo essentially but it feels more finished and not to mention has more content than any NFS.

lol EA should be ashamed! A demo is more polished and has more content than what they consider a full game! IN fact it has "REPLAY" and a dash view!!! WOW GT5 P FTW!!!

EDIT: Sony Sucks for selling a demo though :P But I would so buy it if I had a PS3!

@Baumaxx-no, I haven't had this error, has anyone else? P.s-Nice skin

@koenigsegg-no offence, but you've been going on for ages about-a) 911 Turbo, b) GT5 and c) R34...

Anyway, I agree with you, amazingly enough, about all three of those things! :D

I certainly can't wait since GT5 won't be coming 'til 09...

And by then there may be damage implemented into Prologue, there might be bikes, Top Gear, the whole shebang.

And yes, I'm straying off topic a bit...

@baumaxx-nice sig! sup? lol!

Anyhow, we should really get back on topic, and a new complaint from me-PS2. I only have a PS2 which I saved up for, and Prostreet is simply horrendous compared to PS3. I visited my friend's house, and he's got a PS3 with Prostreet, and as soon as I started playing, I just started swearing. It's so much better!

PS3 Prostreet advantages over PS2

a)damage
b)vinyl load speed
c)graphics
d)cars
e)graphics speed+quality
f)damage-actually shows damage, not just a few scraches

@baumaxx- If you think the PS2 version is bad you should see the PSP version!!! A complete waste of money!!!
EDIT: Even the DS version has more content!!!

And you have to learn than ricing has been in for longer than pursuits and THAT can only take the series so far...

How is THAT true? Pursuits have been in the series since probably NFS 2? We didn't see ricing until NFS UG1.

No, proper pursuits didn't appear until NFS III, then there was no cops until HP2, then Most Wanted. Ricing however, has been in EVERY NFS since Underground. So yes, it's true.

To be quite honest I wouldn't mind turning up the heat on the F6 Tornado.

Hmm utes? Maybe a F6 or Maloo would do us some good, BUT no offence, but they're pretty much useless except for drag.

Anyway, I'm still pissed off about how badly the already struggling game was deteriorated for the PS2. As mentioned before, most of the features that makes the game worthwhile have been removed, and I feel sorry who bought it on PSP...

ANYWAY, off topic questions-Is it worth it to get NFS Carbon on PS2 for $20?

Carbon for $20? It is a crappy game but that's definitely worth it.

And have you never seen the CAPA Drift Ute Commodore?

That pulls some sweet slides.

$20 is about right...
And the CAPA ute... Autosalon Industrie all the way, lol. Bling paint! And they did well, and overtook the Top Secret Z at D1. :D I'm an avid reader, lol.

Nice, capa isn't bad, but I'll still prefer the Z.

Has anybody read the article on MOTOR magazine comparing an imported R35 vs the R34, R33 + 32?

Back to my Carbon thing, I'm gonna get it tommorow!

Yes... I think Prostreet should have the original Godzilla in it, the R32.

I was trying to play ProStreet last night when I stumbled upon an ugly sight!!! Have you guys seen how poor the mesh designs on some of the bodykits are? Its like the just stretched it out! How in hell did EA let that get out? Don't they test the game before its released?
All time low EA all time low [-X For the first time in history I don't even care about the next NFS game, sad really.
