Your Thoughts about NFS: Pro Street
Re: Your Thoughts about NFS: Pro Street
I'd only bother with customisation + GT4 style photomode. lol.
Re: Your Thoughts about NFS: Pro Street
Yep, photomode was kinda a failure for Prostreet, just like many many other aspects...

Here's another one-in a race day, what car do you take as backup? drift, drag, speed, grip-wich one? I normally take a speed challenge (viper) backup...
I just want to know because I really struggle in the later race days...

Depends on the raceday... if it has a wheelie event and a drag, I gotta take the wheelie car along too.

To me, it depends on which type of team holds the overall record. If it's Vinnie Gaul, take a drift car. If it's Carlos Galliano, take a speed car.

Re: Your Thoughts about NFS: Pro Street
Gotta take my GT as backup for wheelies, the Camaro isn't as consistant with its wheelies.
Re: Your Thoughts about NFS: Pro Street
Honestly, to be honest, having stage 3 suspension poses no problems for me. Even though I only run high-7 times, this is definately fast enough against the AI (please remember that PS2 has no multiplayer). AND, it can control itself during a wheelie. THAT is why my Chevelle SS is the most consistent drag car.
I just wanted to ask-why is it that only in drag races can your car wheelie? In speed challenge, a 850hp RWD car should wheelie quite a bit...

Re: Your Thoughts about NFS: Pro Street
Because EA uses different physics engines for each race type, so you only wheelie in drag mode. Same reason your car slides about in drift mode but is glued to the ground in grip. BTW can u guys tell me how to stop my car from doing a wheelie? I have a maxed out drag RX7 and I need it to stop!!!

As simple as that huh? thanks.

OR, as I've mentioned countless times-stage 2 OR Chevelle SS. FULL.Koenigsegg_Rox wrote:two words: stock suspension.
Anyway-is the physics engine in speed and grip the same?

Re: Your Thoughts about NFS: Pro Street
Nope. Speed and grip racing have a totally different physics system.
Re: Your Thoughts about NFS: Pro Street
what's so different? I mean the whole basis of both of those types is to complete the track as soon as possible. The speed track is just a lot longer!
So, is it about high-speed control? stability? what?

Re: Your Thoughts about NFS: Pro Street
If you want fast, CONSISTANT times like you say so many times, Camaro SS with full Stage 4 except for Stock suspension (constant 6.5s, best 6.46). On any car, you really want stock suspension so it doesn't wheelie, and it will get faster times. The only car I've found that this is a no-no is the charger, because there's too much wheelspin off the line and it gets nowhere fast.Striker94 wrote:OR, as I've mentioned countless times-stage 2 OR Chevelle SS. Re: Your Thoughts about NFS: Pro Street
Something odd about my circuit 240sx, it lacks speed in corners, if i keep the Acc pressed and turn, i don't even need to brake, that's how much the car slows down. I really don't know what's wrong with the car. All parts are lvl3, only the drivetrain is lvl4(i needed 6th gear). It's something about tuning? I've tune it before, only this time acts like a slowpoke.

You might have the assist on "Casual".Danyutz wrote:Something odd about my circuit 240sx, it lacks speed in corners, if i keep the Acc pressed and turn, i don't even need to brake, that's how much the car slows down. Re: Your Thoughts about NFS: Pro Street
, but I realised the 240 SX was really easy to win with because all the other AI went really slow for you...

Re: Your Thoughts about NFS: Pro Street
I still didn't solve the problem and no, the assists are on King. I have played with this car before, but it didn't raced like this.
Re: Your Thoughts about NFS: Pro Street
Try reseting all tuning to normal, then slowly tune your car again as something might have gone wrong with your suspension. Although it might be labourous re-doing all your testing, it might be the only chance you have.
And why do you still use a 240SX? There are a lot better cars out there...

Hmm... I always remember mine making it around every corner. I think it might be the car. It's still faster than an S15, lol.
Re: Your Thoughts about NFS: Pro Street
hmmm, thinking back, I used my 240SX until halfway into react, and then I got my Evo, plus invitation to the G-effect races...
Here's a question-which is better for grip-R34 or R35?

R35 unless you don't put all the parts on the R34. You can't exit tight corners very fast in the R34, it wheelspins too much.
