Re: Need for Speed SHIFT: First Trailer
I'll have to take a better look at it later, but holy shiznit! The gameplay looks amazing and brilliantly executed, though there were only very small snippets. Loving the cockpit view and the g-force effects on the camera, as well as the blurred vision upon impact. Although I can see those as potential deal breakers if they carry on to out-of-car views as well.
Btw, doesn't this seem just a little too fast? I mean, we only found out about Shift about two months ago.

That looked amazing!
But im worrying about 4 things...
1. Does my PC run this game?
2. Is there going to be tuners?
3. How is the visual tuning be like
4. Do I need to buy new steering wheel

Yeah, It looks nice, but... I don't know, it just isn't the real NFS... Like the oldies... This is more like GRiD... And that track looks just like on in GRiD!
So I'm kinda worried... And except that, I agree with Rizur, all though I know that my PC will run it, but is there going to be any tuners? And the last thing is that they made this game really too fast, just like prince1142003 said... That's my opinion!

Re: Need for Speed SHIFT: First Trailer
SHIFT has been in development for about 3 years now. You call that too fast? Just because it wasn't announced until two months ago doesn't mean they haven't been working on it for some time.
As for the video... WOW! SHIFT looks very promising. The speed and intensity, the physics...

My sentiments. They haven't even released the minimum requirements for the PC yet, for cryin' out loud. Oh well.. We'll see if 3 years of development (or so they claim) really holds true.

Uhh, Undercover was in development for more than 2 years, and we all know how that turned out. So just because Shift has been under the chopping block for 3 years indicates nothing in regards to how polished the final release will be.

1. I surmise that DirectX 10 will be required for the stunning visuals, so Vista will probably be the recommended OS, with XP getting subpar graphics.
2. There will be tuning, yes. But if you mean the traditional tuner cars, then most likely.
3. AFAIK, we'll be able to tune body kits, rims, spoilers, vinyls... Think ProStreet.
4. Hehe, I doubt it would hurt

Didn't bojan said there won't be customization this time? But I hope you're right.

He said the opposite, but also said that he didn't get to try it out, if I remember correctly.

"If You ask Me I see some Aspects of Race Driver GRID, Gran Turismo & NFS Pro Street! The Trailer looks really authentic in comparison to the Driver's Experience, though I miss... One Full Race Replay with Car Damage... I did not see yet... I hope EA is going to show a few in the next time. Finally I'm really glad They did the "SH!FT" with the Cooperation with Slightly Mad Studios!"
