Bought the game yesterday and started to play today.
Haven't really gotten to do much yet but it's too bad my pc is starting to be so crappy I had to put all the settings to minimum at 1680x1050 to get the game to play smoothly.
The game actually detected that my pc should be able to run the game at medium/high. Not a chance.
The fps was just horrible even when nothing was happening.

Get a console :)

Seriously, this game is supposed to be like Oblivion in a different timeline, right?
I gotta read some reviews of it and if it's really like Oblivion, I'm definitely gonna be getting it. But first I gotta finish Assassins Creed and then Fable 2 and then I gotta get Dead Space and then... Ugh so many good games around nowadays!

Fallout 3 is just like Oblivion. Get Dead Space, one of the best games I played this year.

Putting this game on the backburner to finish Far Cry 2 before Gears 2 lol...

Glad I bought this game for pc. I could never imagine playing this on a 360. I like to get in depth and close with a game this deep. 9 hours of straight playing and I only accomplished 3 quests!!!

This game is amazing.

This is what a game should be. All around fun (sorry, but Oblivion was too tedious for me, plus no real guns)

Who else here thinks that none of the so far release DLC items are worth the 800MSP they cost?
Haven't tried the alien dlc yet though but I doubt it's any good.

The only DLC that is necessary is the Broken Steel. Everything else is a rip off.

True, it's necessary as the original ending kinda sucked. But the main quest in Broken Steel seems shallow and forced. Once again a rip off...

They basically put a bunch of cool shiznit in a DLC (samurai stealth suit, new alien weapons, double barreled shotgun etc) to get people to buy them, but i guess if your bored enough try them.

What bug did you run across? Ive gotten to the point where Im about to head out of the first city and havent run into any problems so far with crashes or anything. This is with the Steam Fallout3 and WinXP Pro.

Ive been taking it a bit slow though, hoping for that level patch to come out before I get to the end.

Woot?
Fallout 3 is pretty old now, so most of the bugs are probably fixed by now.
I remember having quite a lot of crashes back when I first played the game through.
The second time I played it through, maybe 1,5 years ago, I don't remember there being much crashing.

And what level patch are you talking about?
Are they still actually patching this game?
