What car do you drive ?
Re: What car do you drive ?
Ooh god... Get through this quickly, like ripping off a bandaid. Maybe you could invest in some tinted windows for the corolla.

Re: What car do you drive ?
The AE92 cost me about $3500 (I think) and I sold it today for $5000.
I then proceeded to buy another Corolla for $4000. It's a newer AE102, 1.8L fuel-injected with power steering (ooooh) and more importantly it's MANUAL !! Driving an auto everyday was doing my head in.
So there you have it. Newer car + $1k in my pocket

You just made some poor sap pay 30% too much for a car?

Re: What car do you drive ?
To be fair, it's still a good car. Plus I serviced it and fixed a couple of things, installed central locking, an immobiliser, and a tape deck w/ 10-stacker CD player.xHaZxMaTx wrote:You just made some poor sap pay 30% too much for a car?
Ok he still paid too much but at least he has peace of mind. Or something.
When the exhaust shop gets off their a** and finishes the job!Zero260 wrote:Sooo when's the AW11 get back from the exhaust shop?
Re: What car do you drive ?
I've driven for a total of 15 hours (yay me)
I use my dad's 96 Corolla and once I get my license I'm pretty sure it's gonna be mine.

Re: What car do you drive ?
Geez, another Corolla! Sounds snazzy. I guess it's a sedan version, like this one?.
Edit: Oh yeah, epic news. My old '89 Celica has returned from the grave. So I can now choose between two cars to drive to work in the morning. One reliable, fast and quiet... and the other is the complete opposite. It's a good feeling!

Talking about old Celicas...
Jacoja, it might very well be that you are no longer the only one with a T16 Celica and a T23
I've been looking for a T16 Celica for a while now (always liked the T16 Celica since the 1.6 STI my brother had years ago.)
And now I found a '88 Celica GT-four, it seems to be in a decent condition, body and engine wise.
Only big downsides are that it's now owned by someone of who I have the feeling isn't taking very good care of the car so the engine might be having a hard time these days. Second downside is that it has a horrible color it was repainted in Orange with black racing stripes
but it might make for a very nice project, restoring it and bumping the power a bit with some performance/engine mods.
I think it can be a very nice car with a decent amount of TLC.

Pics of your actual car rather than just a studio shot? Just the whole "pics or it didn't happen" business.

Oh, a "BMW X6"? The M version by the look of it.
Do you live in a "house" with your "mummy and daddy" still?
Actual pics of STFU.

Sorry, Stiggy. Forgot to reply to your other post.
That’s awesome news though. You should definitely rescue the GT-four if it's still there. I’d love to know how much better they would compare against the standard FF ST162. Send us some pictures of it, if it’s already displayed on the net!

Yeah, some spammer posted a BMW pic in an attempt to appear legitimate. Banz0rzed.TheStig wrote:Did I miss something? a post removed?
Re: What car do you drive ?
Got the weird feeling it was exactly that good work GT
He Jacoja,
At this moment I can't agree with the seller about a price, he wants way more then I am willing to pay, I did him a offer of 1000 euro, which in it self is not very much, but since I didn't know anything about the car (no history at all) and the chances are that it has rust problems (common T16 problem) and it REALLY needs a respray bad! cause the paint is just....a horrible colour! and he isn't the most carefull driver and has a very heavy foot even with a cold engine and the engine done well over 200k (Km) and eighter needs a rebuild or to be replaced and all those things combined (can) make it a expensive project
Well Pictures, the owner was at a Club photoshoot at an old factory and I was 1 of the 2 photographers so I also made pics of the GT4 here are some of the pics:
1 with all cars (all T23s expect the T16 of course)

Re: What car do you drive ?
I really like it. The paint colour is... interesting. But I quite like the black roof he’s gone for. I guess painting the rest of the car black wouldn’t be as impractical as it would be in Australia.
The bodywork looks to be in very good nick. Shame about the owner mistreating the engine though. Hopefully you manage to get it. I’ll definitely buy something like that for your asking price.
Edit: The sunroof is usually the first to start rusting. If there isn't any rust there already, then it should be safe.
My sunroof just started to rust a few months ago when it was parked at storage.

That's amazing for a first car. Can't wait to see it lowered.
Re: What car do you drive ?
Do you have any decent pictures of it.... cause to be honest, can't see much, let alone if it needs to be lowered....

Nope, but that doesn't mean I can't borrow some pictures off the ToyotaNation boards...

I drove one of these a while ago, it gave my (rather craply driven) mate's Focus ST a run for its money- in a straight line, anyway. Rather too much roll in the corners for me.Danyutz wrote:Got this for a month now.

I don't think its even that cheap, 4000 USD isn't cheap imo for a almost 19 y/o car.
