Looks amazing. I've only ever played TDU1 on the playstation 2, so this should be quite a massive step up.
Sparco, I'm disappointed that you didn't recognise Ibiza before. :P

Yes! cant wait! I just hope its not too arcady. The first game was a good mix of both sim and arcade.
Reminds me of what they did to juiced, juiced 2 was a complete failure!

have to say, the cars sound amazing!

If they do have a bit more car customising (wide rim selection etc) then it could be very nice game, if it's TDU updated... it's a nice game....

Ok, I have been testing TDU 2 for some days and I have to say....

SEMI-FAIL

Don't get me wrong, the options the game has are great, car selection is awesome as well (not perfect: no lamborghini), Ibiza environment is pretty cool, but there are 3 things that KILLED my experience compared to TDU1

- Physics/Handling
- Graphics
- Engine Sounds

Physics/Handling is a step BACKWARDS compared to TDU1. Cars feel exactly the same, and most of them slide A LOT, and car can be weaving at incredibly low speeds, and it's almost impossible to correct the car unless you stop pressing the gas. This aspect has been commented and critiziced in Atari's forum to death, just take a look if you don't believe me. Also reviews that are showing up also indicates that the handling is just a joke and nothing compared to TDU1.

Graphics are a step backwards imho. For a 2011 most of the environment is a total recycle of TDU1's Oahu. Despite having some areas that are incredibly realistic to the eye, some other areas are just.......facepalm. The game is also not very optimized for high-end cards, me being one of the victims lol. I have a GTX570, i7 930 @4.3 Ghz and 8gb DDR3 and game barely passes the 50~60FPS. In my opinion Hot Pursuit looks 2x better than TDU2, but HP needs AA and it would kick TDU2 a**.

Sounds? Terrible. Just let me explain this: Grab an Aston Martin One-77 in TDU2 and you will hear a washing machine at full power. That's how the sounds are.....REALLY bad. Trailers weren't wrong: sounds are terrible. I'm about to do a video comparison to let you know all.
EDIT: Here it is:

I reinstalled TDU1 to make a comparison between Oahu's TDU1 and Oahu's TDU2, as well as some part that look better in TDU1 rather than TDU2. Going to make it pretty soon ;)

If you ask me a score between 1 to 10, I'd give a 7.5/10 to TDU2, and that's a bit mercyful from me.

Yeah it's... pretty fail.

On the negative side...

-Controls suck, even with sensitivity to lowest and deadzone to highest the car is way too sensitive.
-No more bikes... WHY!!!
-Very poor car list, Atari probably wants to fill up the game with DLCs since the showrooms have alot of empty spaces.
-Stickers suck, placing one on my car just perfectly is like trying to place a needle on the tip of a pen.
-House customization sucks, I can never find furniture pieces that match each other, houses look best the way they are by default... by the way can someone tell me why a house has 5 visible garage spaces but lets you use only 2?
-Another game where the main character is muted except for a very rare and cliche line...
-Story sucks, characters suck, but it is a racing game so...
-There's less stuff to find, you'll likely end up driving on a 50 mile road with nothing on it...
-Cops are push overs, I don't really get it how they can put 50 Dodge Chargers on you after you rammed 2 police cars instead of sending 1 Dodge Charger after you rammed IT. And basically all these cops do is ram you, eventually you'll just get boxed in... and get a 1000$ fine... Most Wanted anyone?
-It uses the same old driving engine, where your car can't get flipped at more than 45 degrees and where it bounces like a toy car when you ram something, only this time they've also added a very... very forced crash system that makes your car flip over in less than a second and some really poor damage. Ferrari's barely have any but no surprise there... Italian pricks...
-Off roading sucks, I don't wanna trade bikes for this...
-Multiplayer is awesome if you can ignore actual racing...
-Graphics are... weird, can't say bad but weird...
-LICENSES ARE TOO F*CKING HARD!!!!!!!!!

Positive aspects...

-Physics are fun as long as you don't touch nothing except the road...
-Missions are ok, especially like the GTA style spy missions or the speed ones.
-Both Ibiza and Oahu look awesome.
-There are some MP modes that are cool, such as the co-op modes.

I'm struggling to say something nice about it... I'd give it a 5.9/10 cause I've been playing it all day yesterday for some reason.

I would say it's a bit worse than NFS HP 2010... no decent racing game this year ether unfortunately.

SUPER EASY

i actually love tdu 2, im gonna give some pros and cons(on ps3)
pros:
about 3000 mi sq ft of road.
Nice cars with the ability to put the windows up/down, turn on blinkers, and take the top off
Offroad driving is fun
all online
buy houses and customize avatar
Islands look good
Cars get dirty (this looks really good)

cons:
CHEESY story, couldve done without it
Tad bit too much oversteer, although i find it managable, if you dont turn as hard as you can its fine
No bikes(dirt bikes would be sooo sick)
No Lamborghini (liscensing issues)
No Supra
No BMW
Bentley would be nice(not a complaint, an idea)
cars dont look bad, but there nothing like GT5
wish i could put on aftermarket rims(not really complaining though)

overall i like this game, i plan on playing it alot just like i did with BP. Ive already put in a lot of hours into the game

btw who else has got the buggy v8? Ill go onlineand everyone says whoa how did you get that, i want that
lol

No Porsches :-/ I appreciate the amount of detail they've put into RUF's tho, in TDU1 they looked like conversions from NFSHP2.
