Ofcourse EVERY game has something that could have been better, even the best games have that, agreed!

But this is not really a tiny thing that is like, well it would have been nice if we had the time to implement it, but sadly the deadline was to close, you can't say that after 5 years.

I really much rather have 500 high detail cars that are all with the same amount of detail, or say 1000 medium/high detailed cars, the 200 super high and 400.... low/medium.

Who decides what cars go to the premium upgrade and which don't?

A game doesn't have to be perfect, it CAN'T be perfect, it will never happen because perfection is relative, so why the pursuit of perfection on so many minor details (sure they make the game look great and give it that little bit extra.
But what is a perfect track with mediocre carmodels?

If anybody is interested then below is a link to some pictures which compare real life versus in-game graphics. The cars shown are I believe Premium cars as they show some supercars, one Super GT car and one American muscle car.
This is the link. Scroll down a bit and you should find it.

But did you see the one of the Audi R8's wheel area? That looks really realistic. Unless you look at the ground for the real life picture.

If you read that whole article you realize that GT has really fallen behind on certain aspects. eg: "rollovers" "damage" that only affects "premium cars" I dont know guys I am not liking what I am sseeing:(

standard cars under view are not detailed as of the premium, but still WHY no rollovers for standard?

I'm sorry, but nowhere does it say that rollovers are only for the Premium cars. The only difference between the damage that affects Premium cars and the one that affects Standard cars is that Premium cars will have body parts that dislocate or deform. All cars (Standard and Premium) will have damage such as scratches and dents and the cars becoming dirty. The other type of damage that will affect all cars is the physics-affected damage which will affect the driving physics such as the car becoming unstable in corners.

well actually u did state rollovers were only towards premium cars

yes i am aware of how the whole damage system will work, scrathes and dents for standard, peices falling off for premium

Yep, all very very exciting news.

Also, check out these insane 63 new images. There's some good Karting shots in there, too. I just can't post them here at the moment, because sony has asked GTP to remove them for a few hours.

http://www.gtplanet.net/63-stunning-gt5 ... da-r-more/

For now, I managed to save these to my computer.

^Thanks for the epic premium list. I bet it took a while. A lot of new cars have been seen in the latest screen shots, too.
TheStig wrote:release it.... you know what I mean, but it didn't look as nice in the sentence
Ahh, my bad. I thought you meant that, but I wasn't too sure.

Good news is though, the game will be released in Europe on the 3rd of November... which is only a day after the US gets it.
Good thing about Australia is that we are already half a day ahead, so we get it pretty much the same time. :D

Edit: Karting videos and images are up again! This is the feature I've been looking forward to seeing most over the past few months. Despite the boring track shown in the demo, it'll be a great way to practice for real life.

If epically long yet incredibly fun races are what you're looking for, then load up GT4 and do a one-on-one battle with two bog standard Volvo 240GLT Estates on the Nurburgring.

On a more serious note:

http://www.gtplanet.net/gamescom-gran-t ... l-details/

I couldn't care less about the lack of interiors on standard cars. If this game is going to have all of these features, I'm sold.

That sounds like a good idea but instead of Volvo's I'll use the old Volkswagen Beetle instead. I'll tell how long the lap was.

I agree, that really is a good read. Now back to some GT5 related news:

1. The new karting track that was revealed recently is the reason for Polyphony Digital and Sony facing legal threats.
