I'll wait for more info (or a demo!) before forming an opinion, but for now I don't like it.

Actually car handling looked like a compromise between HP and Shift. So that's a good start. The QTE's are total fail though, as is the chopper shooting at you (and destroying everything else in a single hit, except your cop car...).

If only they had let you control the dude (or dudette?) instead of using QTE's...

Gfx of the surroundings is great though as well as the parked cars which aren't generic low poly crap, they are actually cars now =D>

look @2:55. you'll see that the stage timer is at ~25secs, the miles of the "stage" appear as 1.7 and then, after only 3 seconds (after the "cinematic"), the stage timer is at 2+ minutes and there's 1.3 miles left. wtf? (same for the clock in the middle of the hud)

I agree that the handling doesn't look too good, and that really put me off, but on the plus side the graphics are great as was expected, and it's good they're trying to do something new. Mixed feelings so far, but will definitely not making my mind up after 1 gameplay video.

Well, if I want to play Grand Theft Auto, I'll go see Rockstar's games. NFS is kinda dead. I mean, to make it good they have to transform it a little bit into some Grand Theft Auto clone. Next game after this one, it's gonna be more like GTA?

Rather play my old NFS MostWanted, UG2 or Carbon.

I think the idea of this game is very interesting. By mixing NFS type-of-racing with action scenes that seem to be straight from a movie, where the player still has some control on those scenes via Quick Time Events, BlackBox is kind of mixing two very different genres: action games and racing games. I haven't seen a game like that before, maybe the first Driver games were a bit similar, but not much.

So IMO the concept is good, let's hope Blackbox can make the story interesting and engaging, believable characters and above all, good gameplay. I see some of you judging the handling by one video, I think it is very hard to say whether the handling is good or not before we actually play the game. I remember seeing gameplay videos of Hot Pursuit and fearing that the handling would suck. Guess what, I actually loved it (but only using a wheel, so keyboard users, be aware). :)

I will wait for more information. But I'm definitely interested now, The Run seems like a very good evolution of Undercover.

We are still judging handling because they made NFS World where handling isn't good... This video shows us a final version of handling... They never fix it! They still think that all people have pads and steering wheels... No! We want to play on keyboard too like older NFS! I think that plot of this game will be great but physics and ballance will be crappy like all in NFS World...

That's a pretty bold statement from about 30s of racing footage where the car had to use brakes to get round corners (unlike most NFS Black Box have made). So far the handling is looking promising if a little wooden. Also good to see the bump steer not apparent from NFSU2 through to Undercover (and World).

well, clearly black box has been working hard for 3 years. very polished-looking, except for how the cars APPEAR to handle. reminds me a bit of prostreet (or the ps2 version i played at least).
however, not liking quicktime events to progress a game. especially that much. its a bit ridiculous.

with all this 'epic'-looking stuff and more of a linear path, it looks like they're trying to bring call of duty-style structure to racing. admittedly black box has been toying with the idea of a cinematic racing game since hot pursuit 2 - especially with undercover (which i never played....) and now this. should be interesting, at least :)
i have nothing more to add
