We try to keep things nice and clean, with cheat times and glitches removed quickly, and to do this, we need to have a few rules. Here they are!
Rules of Conduct
When you sign up to play Need for Speed World, you agree to abide by Electronic Arts' Terms of Service (TOS). You can find these terms in full at http://tos.ea.com/legalapp/WEBTERMS/US/en/PC
In particular, Section 11 - Rules of Conduct is important also to us here at NFSUnlimited.net. Borrowing from Section 11, any of the following actions may result in the deactivation of your NFSUnlimited account:
- Use or distribute unauthorized "auto" software programs, "macro" software programs or other "cheat utility" software program or applications.
- Use any game hacking/altering/cheating software or tools.
- Modify or attempt to modify any file or any other part of the EA Service that EA does not specifically authorize you to modify.
- Abuse or exploit bugs, undocumented features, design errors or problems in the game.
Proof & Validation
Many times on the leaderboards have a small green check mark on them. These are times that have been validated by an NFSUnlimited staff member. Generally, you will need to provide a video of the run in order to have your time validated.
For the very fastest times, we require video proof. If you post a time that is faster than the fastest verified time then you may be required to provide a video to prove the time is legitimate.
Staff may also require video proof for slower times, for example an extremely fast time for a low class car.
If a video is required, you will receive a private message from one of the NFSUnlimited staff stating the track and time for which the video is required. You will be allowed 7 days to attach a video to the time. If a video is not provided after 7 days, the time will be removed.
