Most Wanted at a reduced price

Most Wanted at a reduced price

As part of the whole Black Friday thing, which happens in the USA the day after Thanksgiving Day, EA's online service, Origin, has a bunch of interesting deals. One of them is Need For Speed: Most Wanted, which is on sale for 25$ (PC) or 30$ (PS3, Xbox 360). Other sales include Medal of Honor: Warfighter, Battlefield 3, and Command & Conquer Ultimate Edition.

For European costumers not used to the Black Friday, EA let an explanation: "Black Friday is a relatively new concept in Europe. It traditionally refers to the beginning of the Christmas shopping period and falls on the day after the American Thanksgiving day. On Black Friday, US retailers tend to open incredibly early and offer amazing sales deals for a limited time only."

The PC version of Most Wanted is on sale for 30€ in Europe (download-only).

To be honest, I've applied for a UK payday loan online and paid full price for this game and have been disappointed since the first race. The 'Roadblocks" in NFS are supposed to be a point where you can aim for the back end of a Police car and send them out of the way. It seems to be that the front end which is the heavier end offers more luck, otherwise you have to aim for a since barrier to get through. I'm all for a challenge, but cinematic crash scenes get very old, very fast, where you go from 1st to 5th place for a 3-5 second crash scene. No 'Cooldown' spots which are clearly essential when you get above Heat Level 3. The game would be semi-decent if it wasnt for the over the top crash scenes and lack of modifications. Great design on the city, but it looks like more time has been utilized on scenery rather than gameplay.
