Change profile name?

Hm...maybe i was living under a rock for past few months but i came across some prob...
While my PC was broken i was playin on my friends PC with his profile, now he dont play UG anymore so he gave me his profile files, but how can i change profile name in it??

I doubt you can do that... You have to create a fresh new one...

The location of the profile files on my computer is:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\NFS Underground

I would assume that you need to change the names of the 3 files that go with the profile and maybe that will do it.

Simple:

- Make a copy of your savegame files (find them [@ C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\NFS Underground]) somewhere on your HDD
- Delete all the files within the NFS Underground profiles folder.
- Start NFSU and create a new username, in your case Shorty (if you're using multiple profiles, make new ones for those too)
- Close NFSU and go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\NFS Underground
- Next step is TRICKY: Go to the place you 'left' the backup files. Copy all of them again, BUT: DONT copy the file Profiles.usr. Paste the profile files (without Profiles.usr) in the NFS Underground profiles folder
- Last step is, rename all ' sam ' with ' shorty '

If its oke, you should be able to use your new profile name!

so i create new profile, then i copy my old savegame except .usr, then rename and then play?

clear savegame folder, start NFSU, make a new profile name, quit nfsu, copy the friend's savegames, rename to yours (as in new profile name) and you should be done, yes
